Interesting story, I am really hope we get to see a good bit from Spike. I would have to see him become a second class character just because he isn't one of the girls. There are so many amazing places I can see his character developing in this kind of situation. I mean it is bad enough that I get the feeling he is just going to be a dog most of the time in this and not really get much play when the main focus will best chance be on the girls and what they are doing. But there is no rule saying this has to follow the game to the letter and it can't go down its own path as well.
Poor, poor Spike. I pity him if he takes after Teddy and I feel downright sorry for him if he does take after Morgana. Not to say that they’re bad, but I’m honestly tired of subservient Spike.
O question which Persona game is this based on, two why did you scarp the old one and is this a thing now?

From what I can tell, the intention seems to be to make it a combination of 3, 4 and 5. Right now it's making use of 5's backstory but with 4's attitude where life for our protagonist seems wonderful and perfect.
I've never played 3 so if any elements have been used from that one I won't be able to tell. I suppose the whole dorm thing might be from 3 but again I have no clue.

I scrapped the old one cause I wanted to do something different that wouldn't be an exact replica of the actual game. It'll compare to 5 a lot but considering I haven't played 5 if there are any similarities it'll be mostly coincidence.
