Would this mean nearly 20 years have passed since the clone wars? and if so than all the clones would probably in their 40s and Equestria would be different by than? Also it was worth the wait for a new chapter.

If it's been 20 years since the Clone Wars then they would be in there 40s if they had just been "born". Otherwise clones like Rex and Cody would be in their 60s.
