Yep.
Gale and Fluttershy... There have been worse ships... and not many better ones
9248830
They're not being shipped...yet.
(Mischevious smile)
Oh this is going to be a very fun time. ^^

Suuuuuuuuure keep telling yourself that.
This is increadable. Keep up the good work.
I don't like how Celestia lost her composer with Blueblood. With her not only being a Jedi but also Royalty It just seems too over the top to me. While it's alright for BB to voice his concerns I do think he wouldnt press on Celestia too hard to get that reaction out of her. He would probably have voiced it to before she lost her cool.
I'd say he would act passive or defferent then scheme if he truly worried.
I however loved how Gale took care of the problem. He's an adult and she's a little filly he took care of the situation as best as he could.
I'd personally prefer it if you built a solid foundation of friendship before shipping Fluttershy.
(Yes I can tell)
It should take awhile before anything comes to a head with her.

Then to, isn't Blueblood supposed to be some kind of a conniving prick in canon? And with everything that has happened: the imbalance in the force, the bad news, etc. I could understand that Celestia sod blow a fuse or two, especially on Blue. Granted, it was kind of over the top. And then, haven't Jedi lost their ttempers a few times? I watched the seven movies and watched small bits and pieces of lore, so I'm not entirely clear on the subject. I mean, apparently Luna is a Jedi master as well, but if the author is following canon, then apparently she fell to corruption anyway. Force or no Force, emotions are still VERY powerful things.

Blueblood a conniving prick? Hes most certainly a prick with little to no social ettiquet despite him being however distantly; royal.
No he is as far as conniving as one can get from what we've seen so far in canon. What he is in my perspective is a slow on the uptake, self entitled little prick.
As for emotions being a very powerful form of energy I agree, but it thematically makes more sense when Jedi wrongly supress their emotions.
Jedi have always been natorious for this little act. In their indoctrination they are taught to some extent that emotions and attachments can lead to the darkside. So what is it that most Jedi do? They pretend that the emotions that they feel arent there or what they feel is wrong. In their head they go over their mantra. While forgetting about the circumstances that had them feeling the way they do in the first place.
Its even worse when kids at such a young age are taught that certain emotions are bad.
Honestly its why I prefer grey Jedis in general. However they themselves dont have everything in order either despite then being better then both jedi and sith philosphy.
With this indoctrination I see Celestia more along the lines of being outwardly calm regal, and when shes angry you would feel the energy of emotions just bubbling beneath the regal and stern exterior.
The supressed emotions perhaps heating up the room. Or even having certain things crack or break. Not her physically lashing out as thats against what the Jedi are taught no matter the circumstance.
They are passive peacekeepers.

Mmmmmmmm.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........
All excellent points.
Also, I think all sides of the force should be explored. Dark, light, grey, and the unexplored. There is a fic somewhere about a Harry Potter/star wars crossover on fanfic. In it, the author explores the idea of the force and magic being one, only Harry was taught that certain emotions are needed to cast certain spells. He(being portrayed as a middle aged man) had found a crashed ship, repaired it, and discovered things from there. As such, his opinion on Jedi and With are that they limit them selves. Interesting theory that. The limiting themselves part.

Link please? I absolutely love a good harry potter/star wars crossover Ive read quite a few of them over the years with the majority being favorites of mine.
As for the idea I certainly agree with it! The sith themselves have a problem that only the fittest can survive hence the rule of 2 with the master not only teaching their pupil but watching out for their attempts to kill them.
Their mantra of their emotions setting them free and the force is their tool tells me personally that their mentality is in a survivalist state of fear. Ironically they are slaves to their thoughts (which I find are false) and with those thoughts the emotions that come with them.
They make emotions a part of who they are as a being. However if things like emotions, thoughts, relationships can be changed do they truly define you as a being?
As for the Jedi. We went over it earlier. They strive for peace, both in themselves as well as peace for the Galaxy however the hypocrisy of that is they destroy themselves while thinking it is something that must be done.
You dont destroy the ego nor do you get rid of emotions. Running away from who you truly are is only destrimental to the peace they envision.
They are peace keepers yet they refrain from interfering in conflicts or situations. Padawans are told to not make a close connections to their masters. Some Jedi take it upon themselves to do horrible acts in the interest of the greater good.
The Jedi lack the ability to vent their emotions in a healthy constructive way. Instead they meditate in supression.
There are few Jedi who have realised the folly of such behavior and promply became enigmas in the Jedi order.
Personally very few I could see facing their 'shadow' side and actually prevailing.
Have you played SWTOR? I havent played it personally but I see others have and by damn is a lightsided sith such a satifying thing to see.
The Siths 'comrades' think its kindess is a weakness. While the Jedi believe this Sith to be a manipulator and a liar, yet are taught to not harm unless in self defense.
All the while the Sith itself isnt nice but is kind, they dont go out of their way to needlessly spill blood but talk first with conflict being the last option.
They acknowledge and accept their emotions as parts of themselves but not of their being.
I could go on and on since being very spiritual myself finds great interest in the heart, mind and soul of these types of individuals.

Sure thing!:
"I still haven't found what I'm looking for"
And I am the same way! Being a very spiritual person myself, I greatly enjoy those kinds of characters! It also makes me want to go slap.the Sith and the Jedi. Not so sure on Yoda tho. I think he may have been like those kinds of characters. As for Astor, no, and I haven't seen anyone play it either. Though I have heard of it! I did, however, play the force unleashed for Xbox 360. It was a pretty good game.
9315924
Awesome! Appreciate that Ill dig into this till this story updatrs again. Although now that I see it, the title looks familiar....
Yeah I remember the force unleashed I enjoyed it.
Yoda gets a pass for me, he actually faced his dark side and accepted that about himself. Granted it took him over 800 years but hey progress is still progress right? XD
9316942
Yeah, but does that tell you how soon the less longer lived are gonna take to do the same? Humanity is flawed beyond comprehension. Granted, when bound together in a survival situation, our flaws tend to take the curb pretty quickly.
9318661
Yeah thats true but that also speaks very highly of the people who do doesn't it? Granted it must have taken them multiple incarnations but hey they had to start nearly from scratch with each new life. The only thing carrying over is possibly a few quirks. A faded feeling of memories long gone. Irrational fears of things they don't understand, traumas they spiritually carry with them unknowingly.
Humans are beautifully flawed I think, Ill choose to continue seeing the best in it.

Well, we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Also, I am not solid on reincarnation being a thing. I believe silt happens, but am unsure if it happens with everyone or not. There is proof of a ww2 pilot being reincarnated, so I know for a fact its possible, just not the why and how. Nor the who will or won't for that matter.
9319789
Same I remember seeing something about a 5 year old talking about how the name his mom given him wasnt his name. He was older and the last thing he remembers was being on a sinking ship. Turns out the person he said he was, was a passenger on Titanic.
Yeah Reincarnation isnt something that happens with everyone thats for sure the world would be much more crowded.
I personally think that there are a few old souls while the majority are new souls right? New souls start out here. Learn lessons in life then mature. When they mature enough they are old souls.
Once an old soul is finally finished on their last life learning all their lessons they go somewhere else. Where no one really knows. (Obviously everyone has an idea.) Personally though I think we head off to another place thats like earth but isnt. We take the lessons here and have the choice to stay here and help others or we are born anew in this other 'earth.'
Just my two cents.

Myself personally, I fall in the Christian/Jewish beliefs. Mainly because not only is there historical evidence of everything that happened in the Bible, but because both myself and my mother have seen miracles with our own eyes. One of our pit bulls(the breed has notoriously sensitive stomachs) got into a bunch of milk chocolate as a pup. He was barely breathing and his eyes were rolled into the back of his head. He was pretty much dead, and the vet was to far away of a drive. But mom sat there with his head on her lap as she very fervently prayed for his good health. He bounced back out of it as if chocolate wasn't poisonous to dogs. 3-4 years later, he is a very healthy and happy dog, still causing mischief, but staying VERY far away from chocolate. Now, don't get me confused with the grouchy, bible thumping, holier than thou Christian. They are what Mrs. Joyce Meyers likes to call 'lukewarm' Christians. They treat it like a religion, and it should be treated like a relationship between parent and child. We are the children, while God is the parent. He tells us judge lest ye be judged, and to forgive others as we should be forgiven. It is honestly not my place anyways. Like, I am uncomfortable in the presence of gay/lesbian/bisexual talk, and God tells us that it is wrong, but I will not go judging them and slapping them with a bible. Its not my place. My place is to live my life, spread happiness, and die happy should the world last that long. I don't know FOR SURE for sure if it is God and not some other deity/entity answering prayers and giving out miracles, but I have faith it is God. And if this isn't true, then I am sure that this other theoretical being would understand.
Sorry, I am a philosophical guy at heart. And to understand my view, one must first hear what my philosophical view is. This is the way I believe the world to be.
Also, thus is the second time I have run into someone with similar beliefs. Wanna philosophically debate, bright mind to bright mind?
9320457
I come back after a week of taking a break from fimfiction and I come back to having a civil religious/ philisophical debate haha I love this yes Ill take you up on your offer!
