Glad you thought so. However, the story is only partially based on The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People written by Stephen Covey, the father of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens's author, Sean Covey. The major inspiration, however, was the podcast Within the Wires.

This is really interesting. I love how this chapter subtly says that there are no cameras in the Friendship Institute, then includes a story including them. I can not wait to see what the next chapter will bring!

On the contrary. The breathing exercise explicitly states there are cameras, and tells you exactly what it can and cannot see.
Well, this is an interesting story to read so far, I like the 2th person take on the story, like the paranoia that you gradually slip in until it really starts to fall apart for the guy/gal.
