Fluttershy - The Kind Caregiver

As you enter the cafe, you notice no one seemed to be around. The sign out front said the place was open, yet there were no employees to greet you. Looking around, the place is nice and actually quite comforting to be in.

"Hello? Is anyone here?" You call out and suddenly footsteps rushing.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" A dainty soft voice called and soon the person behind the voice appeared. It was a beautiful girl with pale gold skin with wings on her back and long, light greyish rose hair. Her eyes were large and round like a doll and were a lovely shade of teal. Her uniform was a light rose dress with three pink butterflies on the hem. The minute she sees you, she starts to hide behind her long bangs. "Oh. A c-customer. I'm sorry I wasn't here to greet you. I was busy feeding some adorable kittens out back and-and I lost track of time and-oh! I'm so sorry! You're not mad, are you? Please don't be mad at me!"

She was panicking and trembling a bit and you couldn't help but take her hands in yours to soothe her. "No no no no, it's ok. I'm not mad. I'm not mad in the slightest." You smile at her. "If you still wanna go back to feed the kittens, then I don't mind waiting. I mean I need time to choose my order anyway."

"No! I could never make a customer wait. That's not fair." She said, looking up at you, eyes sparkling under her long eyelashes.

Your heart skips a beat. "Oh...ok...w-well then...I'll take a menu and have a seat." You say. Grabbing a menu, you head to an open table and have a seat. Opening the menu, you're presented with images of delicious treats. Fluffy Angel Bunny Pancakes, Pony Tones Cookies, Harry's Honey Parfait, Flutterbat Fruit Pasta, Rose Surprise Tea, and Rainbow Power Sorbet Sampler Platter.

You noticed Fluttershy coming with a glass of water, nervously balancing it on a tray and walking carefully. She looked so precious, you couldn't help but want to help her. Getting up, you take the water off the tray, flashing a smile that caused her to hide shyly behind her bangs and the tray. "I think I know what I'd like to order."

"Oh! Really?!" She set the tray on the table and got out her pen and pad. "What would you like?"

"I'll have the Fluffy Angel Bunny Pancakes, Flutterbat Fruit Pasta, and Rose Surprise Tea. For dessert, I'll take the Rainbow Power Sorbet Sampler Platter. It sounds delicious."

"Oh! Wonderful choices!" She beamed. "I'll prepare them right away." And with that, she picked the tray up again and skipped off to the kitchen.

You scroll through your phone and come across an article about a new local animal shelter helper that everyone adored. Her name was Fluttershy and, surprise, it's your waitress. You notice Fluttershy looked a little startled when her picture was taken of her alone, but she seemed more comfortable when with animals. It explains why she may have been out feeding kittens before you arrived. Fluttershy looked adorable in the picture. Just then, she came back with the tray; your food on it.

"Here's your food." She said nervously, holding the tray so tight that her hands were shaking. And the look on her face told you she was pretty nervous. So you go over to help her.

"Here, let me" You take the tray from her and smiled. You see that the food looks adorable. The Fluffy Angel Bunny Pancakes were two huge, fluffy pancakes in the shape of a bunny with white and pink powdered sugar. The Flutterbat Fruit Pasta was simply various fruits delicately shreaded into noodles with what looked like strawberry or raspberry puree on top. The Rose Surprise Tea was iced rose tea, which was odd but looked refreshing. The only thing missing was the Rainbow Power Sorbet Sampler Platter. "This looks amazing. Did you make all of it?"

She nodded. "I do hope you enjoy it."

You set the food on the table and handed the tray back to her before sitting down. You start with the pancakes and the first bite was heaven. "This is delicious!" You chow down happily on the pancakes, savoring each bite. Moving onto the pasta, it was equally delicious and refreshing. The noodles were made from mango, cantaloupe, and melon with small chunks of kiwi mixed in; the sauce was made from some fruit you hadn't tasted before. To wash everything down, you had a few sips of the tea and felt a refreshing peace wash over you. As soon as you finish, a tray with six bowls filled with colorful frozen goodness. While you were eating, you didn't even realize Fluttershy stepped away.

"Here's your Rainbow Power Sorbet Sampler Platter." She beamed.

The first three colors matched her hair and uniform (pale greyish rose, pale greyish rose, and light rose) and the last three colors were a mulberry as well as a pale and moderate opal. Picking up your spoon, you tasted each one at a time. Each flavor blew you away with a refreshing coolness that made all the fatigue of your day just melt away. When you finished, you sighed contently.

"That was delicious and so filling. Thank you, Fluttershy." You smile.

"I'm so glad you enjoyed it." Fluttershy smiled happily but then blinked confusedly. "Wait. How do you know my name?"

"Oh, I was just browsing online and saw an article of you working at an animal shelter. I'd love to stop by some time."

Saying this brightened her smile so much that her wings flapped a bit. "That would be wonderful!"

You head to the counter and pay your bill, glancing at her nametag. Fluttershy - the Kind Caregiver. You smile and wave to Fluttershy. "I'll see you soon."

"Please come again." Fluttershy waved back.

You head out the door and make your way home, thoroughly satisfied with your day.

I haven't read the others.....but I'd gladly come back to see her.
