Eh, not every fetish-garnished fic need be wall-to-wall funk, 'specially when its secondary characters are just engaging enough to make the non-kink portions flow smoothly. Matter of fact, I'll admit to half-expecting one of those Spectral Phaseout(R)-type deliveries, so the actual birth was a pleasant surprise (plus, it meshed nicely with that initial tension re: "will I survive this amorphous thing's unnerving growth spurts?" ). Besides a few typos and somewhat patchy villain motivation (one line/quote mentioning *why* Starlight hoards candy would've sufficed), this was most readable as multi-chapter kinkfics-with-some-plot (KWSP?) go.
