Love the story so far. I usually don't like or comment, but this was great. I personally would have had him declaring that the ponies were demons because that's what a Medieval zealot would do, but I guess that would have been sacrificing story and tone for realism. If you're going to ship Rowan, please have him seduce his partner, don't throw sex at him out of left field like 99% of people do here with their characters.
I don't know why but it seems this would be perfect for a Month Pythonz quest for the holy Grail theme.

there was a total of nine crusades. This character came from around the first/second crusade while the Europeans still had claim over jerusalem. wanting a play on history I made it so that a nonexistent crusade was the one to claim a nonexistent kingdom.

This was a pretty good chapter, small little tales of a old knight doing various good deeds would be a good way to maintain interest in this story whilst thinking of a way on how to proceed with the plot.

Why. You have a character, they have a background, experiences, and you still insist on a second person narration. First Person and Third Person are infinitely better. That's not opinion, it's fact. Writing in second person is cancer.
