Well, would you believe it...

"Where's Rainbow Dash?" yelled Spike. "Huh... she should have been here already."He went inside for a steaming hot bath- above a few flames. He heaved a deep sigh as he sank in. "Ahhh." The bubbles swept over his stomach, popping loudly. The steam swirled in spirals up and away, floating through the atmosphere. Spike watched where it had been intently. He knew that it would have divided billions of times by now, but he secretly liked learning about science. He thought that he had caught it from Twilight, but he didn't know for sure. Was craving for knowledge contagious? He scratched his head. He had better look it up. Sighing heavily, he grabbed a towel and swung out of the bath. He crept out of Ponyville and asked Derpy Hooves to take him to Rainbow Dash's house. All was silent. There was no pony (or dragon) there! But there was something that Spike didn't notice for a long time while he lived in Rainbow Dash's house.

"Phew! What a lot of spring cleaning!" Spike announced to no pony in particular. Then a purple light filled the room.

"Agghhh!" screamed Spike. He tried to run, but a sucking noise pulled him into a huge portal. THUNK! He landed on a mountain. Wha? A... mountain, he thought. Where in Equestria am I?

"Not in Equestria, young one," a cavernous voice boomed. "You are in Prince Ice Vein and Princess Rainfall's territory. And mine, of course. I am King Stone Cliff." Spike slowly turned around. He beheld a wondrous sight. A huge, grey unicorn with long locks of white hair stood in front of him. Behind him, Prince Blueblood stood, wearing a snow white suit. And soaring above them all was Rainbow Dash!

"Rainbow Dash!" Spike cried. "Where were you?" Rainbow Dash blushed.

"Well Pa, looks like I'm finally staying here forever," she grinned, regaining her old annoying-ness.

"B-b-but you can't!" wailed Spike. "You have duties! You can't stay!" King Stone Cliff smirked. Ice Vein, a.k.a Blueblood, cackled as if something HILARIOUS was going on. And Rainbow? Rainbow Dash just grinned.

"What's so funny?" Spike questioned suspiciously. Rainbow Dash sighed as King Stone Cliff started explaining in a superior, bored, regal voice.

"Long ago, in the kingdom of Rainstar, a beautiful princess reigned. Her eyes sparkled like a thousand silver, no, GOLD stars, and her personality was crystal clear. However, an ugly queen in Everill was jealous. This queen practiced the dark arts. Every day her magic and her hatred grew stronger. Finally, she sent a letter to the princess with a prophecy inside. This is what the letter said:

Dear Venetia,
I hope you're having horrible day. I have an ugly, poo scented prophecy for you! Here it is, ugly one.

Twenty years will go by,
Time will seem to quickly fly,
Of all your family, only one will,
Have a child of Equestria, Rainstar and Everill,
This child will remain in the land of Celestia,
With me watching her(I am Everestia)
Only five minutes will be allowed
For each trip, or after someone has bowed,
Until the day that a dragon comes,
The pet of one of her friend's many mum's.

Sorry if it's complicated, I couldn't make it rhyme otherwise. Toodaloo!
Signed, no pony.

So Venetia (for that was the lovely princess' name), started to panic. Twenty years passed, and my wife, the princess' daughter, had Rainfall. Rainfall was immediately transported to Equestria. Queen Snow Fire, my wife, realized in that moment that:

1. The prophecy had come true.

2. The pony that had made the prophecy was Everestia, the long dead Queen of Everill.

Two pegasi took Rainfall in and called her Rainbow Dash. And that is the story," finished Stone Cliff.

"Two questions, sir," Spike said. "First, is the whole prophecy one sentence? And second, can I go home now, please?"

"I will answer your first question," said Prince Ice Vein, who was obviously Princess Rainfall's brother. "No, the prophecy is not one whole sentence. Everestia just wasn't good at writing prophecies out."

"And also, you can't go home," Rainfall added. "You might give away our secret land."

"You were allowed home," Spike argued.

"That's different," boomed the king. "She's my daughter! Do not argue with the princess!" Spike scuffed the ground. He was confused. He was hot. He was failing to bring Rainbow Dash back to their land, Equestria. And worst of all, he was longing to go home when he wasn't allowed to! He scowled at the king. If he hadn't married Queen Snow Fire, Rainbow Dash would be just a normal pegasus and he wouldn't be here. He would be at home in a warm bath eating gemstones. And gemstone cupcakes. He wouldn't be boiling. He wouldn't be hopping mad. He decided that he hated Rainstar. Why did this have to be like this? Why couldn't Rainbow be normal. Come to think of it, why couldn't he be normal? He was in the prophecy too.

"Fine. Take me to your city," he grumbled, barely audible. Suddenly, two griffons appeared. They wrapped their claws around him. Spike flinched away from their sharp, steel-like talons.

"Take 'em away!" cried the king. The griffons nodded and soared after Rainfall. She dropped back to talk to Spike.

"You know, my mother's been waiting for you. She wants to know who the 'heroic dragon' that saves me is." Rainfall smirked as she said 'heroic dragon'.

"Hey, I AM a heroic dragon!" exclaimed Spike indignantly. "Who are you to say I'm not? I went through the portal, I'm fooloishly agreeing to go to your city, where you have the upper hand. And don't forget that I participated in that dragon tournament to become king! Which I completed, thank you very much." He sneered smugly as if he was saying, "Who can say I'm not heroic now?" Rainfall rolled her eyes.

"I won't talk to you," she threatened. "Anyway, Mum will probably give you a really high rank. Like, the Queen's pet." She grinned. "My mum is a kind lady, so be nice. Oh, we're here!" They zoomed through a window and entered the queen's chamber.

Author's Note:

This is my first story. There's probably a few sad parts, but not enough to make a 'Sad' tag. I hope you enjoy. Please leave feedback and a comment. Also, at the end, I kinda leave you hanging. Read my next book, Spying, which hasn't been published yet, to find out who Queen Snow Fire actually is.

Heh not too bad. A good start, is this ur first story? If it is well done.. Good luck with you future endevours!!

I'm gonna be honest: the story description read like click-bait and it made me want to NOT read your story. But because I didn't want to 'judge the book by it's cover' I went through and read it anyway.

My reaction is thus: it's too fast. Events came at me rapid fire and I didn't have any time to digest what they meant OR how they moved the story along, so I ended up feeling blindsided by the whole thing. I think that your paragraphs have enough substance in them to expand each one to a page in length, and I think that's what this story needs (Okay, maybe not literally but the point stands). It needs more time for the reader to get to know the characters as well as you do.

Have you finished Fluttershy's Darkest secret yet?

How many words did you use?

You even make mistakes too not me I spotted one. :trixieshiftright::unsuresweetie:

To many MISTAKES! Or a couple if users agree please like my comment.

Well then. This was certainly more plot-hole ridden than any story I've read recently.
