I'm really glad to see this updating again. Skyreach has been one of my favorite entries in the series, and as usual the past two chapters did not fail to get my brain churning.
We know from Foals that Twilight sometimes receives visits from alternate universe versions of herself that failed and who are trying to pass on information to another universe. I wonder whether there is something about this particular universe that attracts these alternates or whether is is purely random which one they end up in. How many do they win in, how many does equine society eventually collapse in? And if the forces of good can receive insight from other when's and where's, how many has Grogar potentially been in contact with? Does the number of universes who fall to Grogar/defeat him have an impact on the overall balance of power in the universe? So much good brainfood, appreciated as always!

This is a prime universe, a central nexus from which others attach. It tends to pull stuff in.

If this is a focal universe, it might even be THE focal universe. In which case, it would be the alpha timeline. The others wind up with many variables that eventually cause deterioration, either earlier or later in the timeline, and some good soul in those tries to pass on what they know to someone more... permanent.
Damn, that's harsh. And utterly appropriate for this story, TBH. I look forward to upcoming chapters
Christmas’s already??
Glad to see more of these friends. Time for some reread me thinks.
Both my theories from last chapter just got wrecked.
This is somehow even more frightening.
Going into this chapter I thought the Exile was going to be Twilight, exiled from wherever she was from, but I see that in fact it was a different exile.
... It's easy to think of this like "this is an alternate universe, there's nothing that could have been done." but somehow this Twilight found her way to this Equestria. If she was picked up she sure wouldn't have been removed from it, or not helped or what not. So... yeah. Disturbing, and ultimately sad.
If this Twilight’s suffering was initially caused by Starlight Glimmer, then it makes sense why Tarnish still hates her years later.
Neat
When you really break it down, Starlight's crimes kind of go well beyond forgiveness. She ruined and killed the world in dozens of different ways, and all for the sake of petty revenge.
wow just wow.
