Good chapter.
because so much happened in it
and when you read it you just power through cuz it flows nice
Damn your titles, they are way funnier than they deserve to be! But jeez, I hope daring will be okay after this. :(
On a side note,I love meanie tarnish sometimes. I love peoples reactions to a mean tarnish as well
Also this was said a long time ago, in a story chapter far far away (probably many times at this point), but now I too am wondering what a sumac-tarnish team-up would entail.
have.
I like Vinyl's idea of brass slugs. That amuses me greatly.

It seems shorter because of the intensity: Daring's surgery being the prime suspect. Also, if Tarnish were indeed a villain, would his name be "The Poison Joker"?
The latest chapter's title, tho. Deep in Daring Do's Throat.
See, I had been wondering what was going to happen. This story didn't feel anywhere close to over, and yet I know Daring survives. How the hell were they going to work that out?
I forgot Tarnish could do that.
This statement carries more weight than I think Rainbow realizes. One of the big recurring subtexts of Tarnish, at least from my perspective, is how easily he could've turned bad. If he had never met Maud. If Starlight had met him under worse circumstances. If he eventually found his way into the ranks of the Equalists or the Ascendancy. Tarnish is someone to look up to, someone who overcame a ridiculous amount of adversity, who overcame a life dedicated to making his existence hell, and found a place to belong. He found love, friendship, and happiness. And yet, it is still utterly terrifying how easily he could've missed that mark. How easily he could become one of the worst threats the world had ever seen. Remember, unlike Gosling, he didn't have a strong parental guidance to keep him on the right path.
Honestly, there is a layer of unease to everything about Tarnish, when you get right down to it.
"They're not called the Elements of Niceness, after all."

Well, the real trick is somehow making the reader feel the same sense of dislike and unease that ponies feel when Tarnish doesn't drink his tea.
8013534 I am reimagining the entire movie in my head with ponies from the Weedverse now.
Batmare - Twilight
Joker - Tarnish
Harlequin - Pinkie
Alfred - Octavia
Luscious Fox - Maud
Gordon - Braybern
Two Face - Rarity
Just a few ideas.

Thing is, it's not his character. I dig his character. He's kind and compassionate, but with a harsh edge to him. He has trouble really understanding the world around him sometimes, but does his best anyway, supported by those who love him.
Honestly, it's the circumstances of his life. I'm still kinda upset a bit about his banishment. But why, though? He's come to terms with it and put it behind him. He's found a loving family and happiness. If he's not upset about it anymore, what right do I have? And then there's the whole poison joke thing. He feels like he's constantly being pulled by forces larger than him who care very little for what happens to him. Almost like as long as he does his part, his own self-fulfillment is expendable. It makes me shudder to think about.
Like Sumac, sometimes I worry that it'll be too much for Tarnish and he'll snap. And that I'm worrying this much about a pair of OCs speaks highly of your writing skill.
To my the action flow quickly
the answer is its a location in skyrim where the blades used to live during and before the oblivion crisis so an alternative answer is its in a different dimension
8013664
Nope. Sorry. Nothing to do with that.
Hush, Rainbow. It's called fighting smart.
8013467
Sumac-Tarnished-Flicker team up. The world won't know what hit it.
8013690 i know i just wanted to be witty im sorry its not funny
8013704
True, mostly because the world would no longer exist.
8013745
No matter how many times I explain it, nobody listens, nobody cares. So I've given up.
Thank you.
8013771
I think I read this right... you're thanking me for saying what you've given up saying. Right? You're welcome, regardless.
8013953
Correct.
Glad those lessons in VI paid off! And of course props to the Element of Pinkness.
Rainbow is right, Tarnish is a very dangerous individual. Tarnish without a family would have been ruin upon the land. It's a very good thing that Maud found him just hanging around.
I only mentioned this in a Triad comment the other day...and included Gosling by saying 'Quadriad' after!
This was delightful~ thanks dear Kudzu
Thinking over Rainbow Dash's last statement... I wonder how a fight between Tarnish and the Bearers would go.

Imagine, if you will, the Elements of Harmony as affected by poison joke.
8015989
Probly end up fighting for Tarnish as the elements of disharmony.
