Material Defender

A crossover/HiE writer whose own distractions with the internet ended up with him running into ponies. And now he's a fanfiction writer.

Treasure hunting's a rather straightforward business with a rather odd relationship with the strange and supernatural. Occasionally, there'll be some mishaps involving traps or some other things, while some other hunters even have first-hand tales of supposed supernatural encounters; whatever it is, it doesn't concern Blake Westerly, who's merely in the business for the obvious payout: cold hard cash.

Of course, he'd never believed the stories, but soon he'll find himself walking into the next bar with one of his own...

An adventure story, and also my first true 'spare time' project, so don't expect consistent updates for this story.
The lore in this story will be heavily Nightmare Moon centric.

Structured very ell cant wait foe the next chapter:pinkiehappy:

First read, I didn't notice any mistakes; another read might reveal some though. All in all though, well written. Would suggest finding some art to go with it though; some readers on this site equate no story picture with being sub par quality. I guess the rule of "bright shiny object" applies in that logic.

Interested to see where this goes. You have my attention.

699949 Thanks.

699996 Yeah, I figured that much about the cover art. The problem is that I usually never put one up unless it fits the story right.

Ooooh, a murder mystery! :pinkiecrazy:

I'm guessing that Nightmare Moon continued to live after she was separated from Luna, only to overcome the royal sisters and turn Canterlot into a twisted (and 20% more awesome) form of what it once was.

and Professor plum killed the guards in the library with his pointy horn.:moustache:

Aww poor guardponies...
also I imagine the atmosphere like one of the Fallout New Vegas DLC'S
