Ponysopher

T

For most ponies, Winter Wrap Up Day is a happy affair. This is especially the case in the town of Ponyville where they sing while clearing away winter with their own hooves. Yet for Luna, the princess of the moon, this day is one of the saddest of the year. On the eve of that day, she travels to Ponyville to visit Twilight, a good friend of hers, in order to enjoy the last moments of winter.

Rated Teen for a very brief, non-descriptive section on war

Have a fav and a thumb up, I'm adding this to my reading list!

I rather enjoyed reading this. Well written in my opinion and entertaining.

It also helps me like it in that Luna's opinion isn't far off from my own concerning the seasons.

I liked it but I feel like we missed a great opportunity to garner some feels if Twilight convinced Luna to open up some more ie about her nightmare and memories and stuff

I really think stories like that should be left up to a historical prose rather than a personal one. I plan on writing an account of the great wars of Equestrian history, so if you're just looking for your curiosity to be sated, just wait for that. As for including such a thing in this story, I can see how that would quickly turn into an emotional one rather than the philosophical one that it was intended to be. This is a dialogue after all. On top of that, emotion is both something that does not pursue a resolution and something that I cannot write well.

I really do adore this. I like fics that accurately touch on Luna's emotions and opinions on such things, because I often feel the same way. I rarely sleep at night, because I feel like it's so easily wasted, and winter is my favourite season - for just about the exact same reason, too! While the cold does get to me exceptionally well, I still appreciate it so much more than summer. It's serene, while the summer seems more... obnoxious. I find the other seasons are simply very wet. xD

Wow, Luna really does have a lot of reasons to love winter.

...That, and the fact that she had a little friend who liked making snowflakes

It's amusing that I wrote this before Snowdrop. When it did come out I was glad to hear that other people had the same ideas about Luna's motivation.

This... just this... just....

I have no words. I can't say anything. HAVE A FAVE.
