I have known-well, expected- that you had been depressed about it all. I also knew somepony had taken the Immortality Spell, But I had no idea that it was you. Do not think I'm angry, my student. I understand what you mean when you say that you want to be with them. For eternal happiness. I can relate to you, my student. I have seen so many good ponies, who I had come to know and love, who pass away. My heart is so void and empty from the ponies that I've seen go, and I wish I could join them, but that's impossible for I am immortal, as you know. I will 'die' eventually, that is true, but I will be reborn again, like a phoinex. That's why Filamena is my pet, for she is the only thing that will stay alive forever with me.I know that you will pass before you get this letter, and I apologize. I just wish for you to know that you are, and will always be, my faithful student.

I think this story was very touching. I think anyone who says they think it was rushed was probably reading just to pass time, and with the amount of words it is, of course it feels rushed, but I think it's perfect the way it is. If anyone wants to read something that isn't rushed, don't read an extremely short story if you want to pass time.
