Halloween for the Mane Six

Rainbow Phantom

It was a crisp fall morning in Ponyville.At a local pool Rainbow Dash was napping in a chair with shades. A sudden sound of strains was keeping Dash awake.

"Grrr!...ALRIGHT! Where is that coming from?" Rainbow awoke.

She flew to the source of the noise in town.She then flew down and saw here friend Pinkie Pie in a box. It seemed like she was stuck inside.

"Pinkie we've been over this, we can't mail you to your dreams...and also packing peanuts aren't meant to be eaten." Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

"That's not why I'm here Dashie, I'm trying to think inside the box for a halloween costume,"

"Call me Twilight, but I think it's think outside the box,"

"Hehehe silly Dashie I've always outside and I couldn't get any ideas so I've been here in this box in town since 5:00AM,"

"But don't you need sleep?"

"Tisk tisk tisk ah Dashie...you don't know me do you?"

Rainbow Dash flew away rolling her eyes and saw Celestia's sun rise.She stopped to think about a costume but saw it was lame and made a beeline for Twilight's window.

SMASH!

"Rainbow Dash that's the seventh time in two weeks, if you break my window again I'm pulling the bits out of your budget" Twilight said angrily.

"Chill your royal bookworm, I just wanted to visit and see what you're doing, you know since Pinkie is in a box in the middle of town," Rainbow Dash remarked.

"I'm trying to come up with a costume for Halloween this year,"

"I see you've gotten into today's slang for Nightmare Night, but really Twilight It's not that hard to come up with a costume, even for you"

Twilight's horn glew as she realized she was wasting time talking to Dashie." Well if it's so easy why don't you try it, and to do that you have too...GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!!!"

SLAM! Just like that, Twilight had slammed planks of wood over the window, locking out Dash, and ending the conversation and giving Rainbow a dizzy face.

"HA HAHAHAHA! Rainbow Dash...what in tarnation happen to you, what did you beat Twilight in Wheels and Stairs again," Applejack suddenly called out to Rainbow.

"Forget you Applejack, Twilight is just being sore she can't come up with a halloween costume," Rainbow said rubbing her eye " And besides I promised not to play again, last time she accused me of cheating and hit me with a book"

"No offence Rainbow Dash," Applejack apologized while chuckling, "But it might not be such a bad idea to think about a costume,"

Rainbow Dash snorted and dashed off in a huff, still hearing Applejack snickering. Rainbow was later on a cloud with a pillow for her face. Truth be told, she had little to no care for a costume this year.

"Lousy Twilight...ugh I could still come up with a costume," Rainbow said to herself with Twilight's words bouncing in her head, "I'll show her I can make a costume better than her and it'll be easy!"

Rainbow was thinking to herself trying to come up with an idea. A giant bolt of green lightning and thunder struck her and her cloud. In the moment of steam and fog she was surprised to find Fluttershy coughing next to her.

"Fluttershy! what the heck! How did you get here?"

"Uh...Th-That's not important, I'm here to help you with your...problem and he-he-help you," Fluttershy said shaking like a vibrating earthquake.

"You seem scared...more than usual...but I do need some motivation for a costume," Rainbow Dash said "Maybe I could get some help MAGIC help,"

"Uh. Maybe ask Zecora for help." Fluttershy said surprisingly calm.

"YES!! Why didn't I think of that? It'll rub Twilight's big face into it," Rainbow snapped grabbing Fluttershy," To Zecora's!!!"

The trip was a little lengthy, seeing as how Rainbow forgot the directions. It also took some time due to a note on Zecora's front door. When Rainbow and Fluttershy spotted it, Rainbow grew red with anger.

Dearest visitor of my home land
I've gone out to run an errand
If you want me you must realize
I'm in a place of smells and wet eyes

Both Pegasi searched high and low over Ponyville and found where Zecora would be. They stopped by a salon, where they thought she was and asked around.

"Has anyone seen Zecora anywhere?" Rainbow barged in.

"It's really important to us," Fluttershy added hiding behind Dashie

A spa pony gave Rainbow a slip of paper, this only made Rainbow spark as if she was on fire. Fluttershy read the paper and Fluttershy hid behind her even more and outside everypony could hear Rainbow Dash.

Dear persistent follower reading on paper that's stuck
But I have to share bad luck
I've gone for resources for my food
So please don't call me rude

Two hours later, Rainbow was alone,she told Fluttershy to go to the hospital incase she beat Zecora into the hospital. She was tired and slept on a bench and woke up to here Zecora whistling a tune.

"Finally! Zecora I need your help.RIGHT NOW!" Rainbow said on Zecora's case.

"Don't fret Rainbow Dash I am here to help,

Though my remedy may cause you to yelp

It was your friend who told me of your problem

The one who is always shy among them

"Good now what do I need,"

"To put it quite simply,

all you shall need what i can't see,

"Uh...what"

"You must head to a magic tree

And take the sap that runs free

for it will grant you invisibility

"I JUST left Fluttershy an hour ago, and to get a magic tree isn't it in the ever free forest?" Rainbow dash questioned.

To save time Rainbow went to Zecora's home for a book of the ancient No-See Tree.This tree was nearly invisible and only 6 limbs ever appeared at once. The sap from the tree when brewed correctly would give any pony the gift of 1/2 invisibility only and give rainbow the appearance of a ghost.There was a catch though for the tree was dangerous and whoever used it would suffer from an ironic 3 hour curse.

Rainbow Dash was fed up she had mindlessy gone through ponyville all morning, had been spooked by Fluttershy, and to make matters worse besides some complimentary fruit in the spa, she had not eaten. She managed to find Rarity in town and asked for her help. For whatever reason Rarity seemed to be seeking this moment for her own game and tagged along.(Of course she was in a quarantine suit the whole time, she did not want a repeat of her Poison Joke.)

30 minutes later. Rainbow dash had found her tree and had her mind set. The tree was horrid with numerous tentacles and a big mouth in it and a giant eye.

"So two little ponies face me! ME! The ever unseen tree of invisibil- OW!" The Tree cried out. "What. Are.You.Doing!"

Rainbow Dash was swinging an axe back and forth at the tree cutting inside of it.The tree called out in pain.Rainbow Dash stopped for a moment and looked the tree in the eye, as Rarity had other matters.

"Listen buddy! I ran all across town for a zebra, who can't stay still, was awoken by my funny and pink but annoying friend, and traveled everywhere with a bashful yellow friend, and slammed by an egghead," Rainbow said angrily picking up the axe once more and continued, "With you i'm not taking any chances,"

"Oh come on this is a disgrace"

"Too bad"

"can't I at least just be chainsawed,"

"NO! I need the sap, now if you'll excuse me"

HIYA!!!! And just like that Rainbow was done. She had Zecora brew the exlier and drank a bit with a sandwich in her cloud house at dark. Just like that she was now half ghost. Her tail started to glow in the color of her coat, her eyes turned green and now she was floating, with no wings.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!! she bellowed as she was now Rainbow Phantom. "In your face Twilight!!!!!"

A knock on the door and It was Fluttershy, When Fluttershy saw her friend she did little more than faint in her own costume.(Thank goodness she fell inward the house and not to the ground. Leaving Rainbow with an unforeseen consequence.

One voice was now asking her for a date.The next two were complaining about their time. And one was complaining over how Rainbow was prettier than her.

So for now until three hours after she turned to normal Rainbow was punished by: Listening to the undead who were complaining.

Sorry about the wait...REAL LIFE, you know and i hate to say it but i may not finish this until after Halloween but I'll try to anyway.
