Button Mash was busy playing the newest game inside his room when the power suddenly went out. His mother suggested to go out and play with the other colts and fillies. Yeah, right. Like that'll happen.

Isn't Button's mom's name Love Tap?

Button blinked. “Snow fireflies?”
“You never heard of them?” Scootaloo asked.
The colt shook his head.
The pegasus filly shrugged. “Neither do I.”
The colt deadpanned.

I think that should be "Neither have I." Also, I'm pretty sure you have to say something in order to deadpan.

Looking into it more, there doesn't seem to be a consensus on her name. Love Tap is one of the more common ones. Miss Mash doesn't work very well, since it's rare for family members to share names. The Cakes are the only known family to share a last name. The Apples, Twilight's family, and Rarity's family do not. Also, considering she lives with the father of her son, she's most likely married, so it should be Mrs. Mash if you go that route.

I'm not certain of that one, though.

Google gives the verb form "say something amusing while affecting a serious manner."

I've seen Love Tap, Maternity, and Mom used in fanon.
Officially, she has no name. She's only referred to as "Button's mom", "Mom", or "Mrs. Mash". However, Jan and ShadyVox have confirmed that unofficially, they gave her the nickname "Elaina" when dealing with names of project files, voice clips, etc. Probably as a reference to her voice actor having a similar name, though that much hasn't been talked about.
