Hello! You probably don't know anything about me but I saw that you were feeling discouraged in a comment you left on YouTube about your writing n I know exactly what that feels like.
Now I goofed and read this first and then saw it is the second book in your series whoops. Anyways I think you shouldn't worry about the dislikes.
Although this is not my usual cup of tea, as I prefer romances, but it shows a lot of promise. I only found a few grammar errors which are so common in all of us and the pacing was good, neither too fast or slow.
Don't give up hope. Remember art is subjective and not every piece will appeal to every person. You just have to hold out for those that can appreciate it. Remember why your doing this. Is it for fame or passion? That question always cheers me up when I get a dislike.
Keep slugging it out and the rewards will come. Until then good luck and keep going.
P.s. Sorry for the very long and sappy comment but I'm a romance writer, sap is kinda my thing lol

Don't worry. My best friend and fellow writer often tells me I'm a glutton for the dramatics (which I openly admit I am).
Writing has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember and until I get some feedback with those dislikes, I see no reason to give up now.
