I really did enjoy this first chapter. Seems to be similar to Stallion in the Library, but now it is less focus on Card. I would say this is shaping up to be a great story, but I wonder if you are going to include romance. You have stated that Twilight has a crush on Tron, and Card was making out with Pinkie. So are you going to leave the other 4 out to dry or what. What? I'm a romantic. I can out beat Cadence any day with reading romance fanfiction, as long at they aren't super cheesy. No offense Cheese Sandwich.
I'd like to point out that he literally hired Trixie for just such a purpose and, even if she can't sign the paperwork, she can fill out everything else for him and read it and inform him of what it's about(of course that'd make him closer to a modern politician)
Something I missed first time around -- You had Trixie and Twilight meet him at 10:45, but he arrives at 11:15. Just saying.
