PseudoFiction

Okay, now I know the empty bottle of whiskey on my desk 'looks' bad, but there's a perfectly sober explanation.

E

Billy Blaze was more than just an average eight year old boy. He was a hero on – quite literally – a stellar scale. As Commander Keen he protected not just the Earth, but the whole galaxy from danger. He thwarted the Vorticon invasion and freed the Vorticons from slavery at the hands of his arch nemesis and classmate, Mortimer McMire. He stopped the vicious Shikadi from destroying the galaxy. Keen even saved his babysitter, Molly McMire from the hostile planet of Fribbulus Xax where she was almost eaten by carnivorous Bloogs.

And then... nothing.

His arch nemesis disappeared. There were no more impending invasions to thwart. No more galactic danger. No more babysitters being kidnapped by hungry aliens. The adventures of Commander Keen became a memory. Billy grew up.

Seven years later. Billy Blaze is living a normal life like a normal teenager. He’s made new discoveries and didn’t have to travel halfway across the galaxy to make them. Sci-Fi conventions. Science fairs. Video games. Comic books... girls.

Billy has plenty to keep him busy in ‘normal’ life. Should he really be concerned about the fate of the universe too?

When his nemesis returns with plans of destruction on a universal scale, and in their battle Billy ends up stranded on an uncharted planet, the answer to that question seems to be an astounding ‘yes.’

A Commander Keen / MLP: Friendship is Magic crossover.

Is it sad that I'm old enough to remember that game series?

Oh. My. God.

THIS IS GREAT!
I NEED MORE!

You probably want to amend so it includes the 'Universe is Toast' Trilogy into there as well. A lot of people have accepted that as the canon storyline sequel to the sixth game despite the technicality of it being an unofficial mod.

I grew up with this.

I tried reading this, but I couldn't get into it. Maybe its just my headcanon getting in the way, but I don't think Billy will give up his little adventures in space. Growing up and maturing, yes I see that, but not keeping care of his ship and getting the hots for his babysitter. No.
While I would say Mortimer was in character, I think he appeared in the wrong way. He should send his goons to kill him instead, since he has plans to do. And I do see him sneaking his way to Celestia because of his goals.
I thing I would say is don't be afraid to make Mortimer act nice in front of strangers.

I don't know if you are still out there or if you could read this comment, but just to let the record show that I asked since you have no desire to continue this fic: May I have your permission to take this off your hands? A little rewrite here and there and I could finish what you started here.
