Your disinterest in writing this showed. I don't understand why they're going to the party as soon as Fluttershy got the invite and why Rarity didn't question her best friend turning up at her store with a stallion who she was going out with.
Anyhoo, I'm not writing this comment to be mean because I like this story, its my OTP and its really cute
I just think it might be better to wait for a burst of inspiration. Don't push yourself to write if you don't feel it because it translates to readers and its not a pleasant experience to read

However, Sad endings are also beautiful, if you do them right.
All it takes is a bit of balance. A happy ending can be given a bitter twist, or a sad one, a tinge of hope. It's when you combine despair with hope, happiness with the knowledge that everything still won't be perfect, or even good, that stories can sometimes supercede past being just stories, and transform into something more.
