No One Escapes Cidhna Mine...

2 Years Ago: Cidhna Mine, Markarth: Skyrim; 3:45PM

They took everything.

The clothes from his back, the weapons from pack, the potions, poisons, everything. They gave him in return some worn clothes and a pick axe.

Jericho sat in self-pity, the pickaxe laying at his crossed legs. Had he known that the Imperial spy had died already, he would've ran out of town as fast as possible. When the guards of Markarth came and took him away into Cidhna Mine, the guard told him one thing.

"No one escapes Cidhna Mine... No one."

Cidnha Mine, Markarth: Skyrim; 6:14AM

"Hey, buddy?"

Jericho looked up from his dirt bed, seeing Borkul the Beast.

"C'mon, we need to get working." He said before picking up a pickaxe and walking towards the nearest ore vein. As Jericho stood up to work, he heard it. The small little sound that made him suddenly get invigorated.

*Tkt, Tkt, Tkt*

He smiled and did something he thought he'd never do in so many years. He began to sing...

I waited this long for that?:raritydespair:
As long as the next one comes out faster than this,I'll be fine.

179 words? Even I have standards...

Hey! You want backstory, or do you want to complain, because if you want to complain, then leave.

Ask anyone really, no one wants to wait a week just to receive two hundred words, not enough to fill a half A4 paper.
We complain because WE. WANT. TO. HELP. YOU. Y'know? here's some very basic rules with writing a story, very much so a crossover.
1: Don't have the ponies / anthro (whatevs.) Be very forgiving very fast, makes the story boring and useless to read, kind of like ordering a Large chocolate milkshake and getting a small banana milkshake.
2. Do not ever under any circumstances post a chapter under 500 words unless it's something along the lines of "FYI I'm going on hiatus for a month b'cuz I caught the flue, not really feeling up for writing." or you just want to make some witty jokes, or perhaps a small bonus chapter, the thing with Backstory chapter's that they should be from one thousand five hundred (1,500) to four thousand (4,000) words long, just to paint a accurate picture, even if it means that you have to spend a month to get said chapter out, it's better than 170 words.
3. For the love of god Grammar, grammar spelling and phasing seems to be your... Breaching points, you phase the story too quickly, what should've taken two chapter's take a half, it looks like you actually used hoofs when writing this then just right-click google spellcheck fixed it.

Yeah that's pretty much it for the basic rules, writing a story is very dangerous territory, it's like encountering a Giant on level five.

3882506 Look, I'm a little pissy today, I've literally nothing productive all day, and to top it off my feet are sore from being on them since 9:00 in the morning. I understand you're trying to help and I'm thankful for that. It's just I have family problems, personal problems, school (problems not withstanding), and a lot of other stuff. Like preparing to fix up an entire house. I don't mean to sound angry, nor defensive, I'm just pissy.

3882528 You're talking to someone who's grandmother died less than a month ago, two of my favorite pet's are dead because they caught some kind of flue, my cousins wife is on her deathbed with a lung infection and inflammation, the past two or so years my entire world's been in a turmoil, so yeah, I know how it feels, I picked up self defense lessons to let out pent up stress and anger.

3882547 Look. I'm sorry alright. Progress is slow to the spawn, and not a lot of good things come out of it. Like the only comment from you that I deleted was about correcting a comment I made. That... :ajbemused: I mean come on... But I can understand what you're going through. And like I said, progress is slow due to the fact that I don't write down my chapters, I just make it up as I go along. It's worked in most cases... and in others I wish not to recall upon, but that's my way doing it and I'm sticking with it.

3882569 Same as me then, when I write I just make things up as I go along, I don't plan much on a story other than the ending, of which will probably be sad.

3882571 Ah, that's were we split then, I made a few sad tales, two, to be precise. One of which has left people speechless, while the other made most cringe in fear and one comment (out of five) said to make a sequel for it. I was never good at making a first person view point, nor anything outside of a crossover, so when those two gave way and let a flood of good in, I had a new vigor. And now I'm currently working on another story right now, "I Didn't Say Yes, But I Didn't Say No".

3882586 The best way to end a story, satisfying the reader and ending the story itself by killing of a emotional character, is if their sacrifice was worthwhile, so that it feels like even though they may be dead, they'll still live on with us.

Whigga chill
I aint mad at you, I'm just sayin that the time gap between this chapter and the last was long enough for more.
I don't care how long it is as long as there's explanation and plot twists.
Good luck with the rest though, and holy shit do I need to go to sleep.:facehoof:
