This is the story, of a Unicorn named Twilight. Twilight studied studied under Princess Celestia in a big Treehouse, where she was the princess’s star pupil. Twilight’s day to day process was simple, she sat in her room and read books off her bookshelf. Every day her baby dragon Spike would come in to check on her, with new books of varying genres, lengths, and arranged via dewey decimal system. This is what The princess’s pupil did every day of every month of every year, and although other ponies considered it soul rending, Twilight relished every moment that new books came in, as though her sole purpose was to study all day. And Twilight, was happy.

Story would be better if the audience had some interaction with Twilight. I think though it would get too meta, and that's a little problematic in some cases. I liked it, but just sayin, a complete copy and paste isn't well received by some.

Something you may wish to ponder is allow reader input when she comes to certain choices. Does she go left or right?

Or does she sit in a broom closet :rainbowwild:

Or does she pace around in an elevator while a catchy song plays in the background? :trollestia:

3450197>>3450208 Agreed with both of these gentlemen.

The Stanley Parable can be described as a Choose Your Own Adventure story: One where the player (or in this case, the reader) decides what happens. Of course in the case of The Stanley Parable, the choice is an illusion, and unless you follow the narrator's instructions to the letter, the story is gonna screw someone over (you, the narrator, or both). Unless you follow the same formula, there's a lot lost in the transition between mediums. :unsuresweetie:

Plus, it's not enough to carbon copy The Stanley Parable word for word. After all, Twilight is not Stanley (nor is she a real person, but I digress). Besides her uselessly complaining to the narrator, you should make this more pony and less Stanley. That would make this a more effective crossover. :duck:

I was browsing to see if there were any other Stanley Parable crossovers besides mine, and it seems there are. I hate self-advertising, but in this case I might as well; I've got a Stanley Parable fic on my page, The Nondescript Parable , which I've made to be interactive. Each chapter ends with a choice, or a prompt for readers to leave a suggestion in the comments below, and I then write the next chapter based the the suggestions they leave behind.
I just figured I'd mention it because you were both saying how you'd like this story to be more interactive. :twilightsheepish:
