I'm actually nearly done the next chapter, as I didn't want to post just one before I was ready with the other, so people could see where things were headed.
The story's good, it's taking a direction I haven't seen before. That just means I probably haven't read enough romance yet! I apologize if I sound cruel, but the speech being in italics is jarring my reading experience. I have to remind my brain that the speech isn't in past tense, or thoughts. It's just breaking my immersion, and having speech in italics isn't the norm in formatting. Having the thoughts in italics instead of bold, and no text alterations at all on the speech is the normal.

The speech being in Bold is really throwing me off. It's making me think everyone is yelling at each other. Which admittedly is kinda hilarious.

I thought there was more depth to it, but...awww well.
Sometimes, we settle for who we think is the best that we can get, but it's only later that we realize that our true love lies elsewhere. It's not an easy decision, obviously, but...sometimes it's the best one.
