Love it! High School of the Dead is one of my favorite animes, so grim dark and morbid! I like the idea of making a HSOTD/ MLP:FIM fanfic and changing a few things, but keeping the basic idea the same.

Twilight is the fat nerd that had a ton of gun experience from HOTD, Rainbow is the Samurai bitch, Rarity is the girl that is always pissed at everyone, Applejack would be... the main characters ex GF, Pinkie would be the nurse, Fluttershy would be the girl that worked in the military, and Big Mac is the main character.
Sweetie and Scoots die, don't they... FUCK!!! On another note, I'd fuck Fluttershy, no shame what so ever. On a third note, Pinkie Pie went lollipop chainsaw on some of the dead fucks. On a fourth note, every sentence has the word fuck in it.

This has a lot of potential. Seeing the main 7 and a few other side characters coming together to survive in a apocalyptic setting really does seem interesting. I look forward to seeing the rest of this story unfold.
