I kind of followed it, but I feel like it introduced plot elements just to forget about them, and it also did not focus on a number of the things that mattered. How did Twilight come up with the idea to try to invert the magic of Harmony? How did she manage to use that power without having physical form Elements to channel the power through? What was the point of the scene with Shining armor finding the Princesses if he was just going to get caught himself? What is with all the time jumps? If Twilight made Discord go back in time, why would he not have simply done something different the next time through? If Twilight was powerful enough to defeat Discord, and then had 1000 years to build her power unopposed, how did Celestia stand a chance against her when she returned? Hmmm... Too many unanswered questions for my taste.

that ending. she was able to destroy discord oppose the elements of harmony which are supposed to be the most powerful magic know and CELESTIA DESTROYS HER JUST LIKE THAT NO NO THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE! EVEN DISCORD MADE SOME SENSE BUT THIS MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE THAT IS WHY IT HAS SO MANY DOWNVOTES for all the appeal it had the ending ruined it
