Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! This is the best short story I've ever read. You sir, have my thanks for a beyond entertaining story, and my written seal of approval. > :rainbowkiss::heart::scootangel: <

Some may argue about the whole concept of "Rightful heir usurps the stolen thrown from the evil king because of his parent's or family's murder, etc." But take my advice and pay them no mind, it's all a bunch of nonsense. Take my advice on this as well. Just because it's not original, never makes it bad.

Make no mistake that I will be taking a peek at any more of your work while I'm at it.

Also, I wish you luck in all your future endeavors and happenings. I bid you a fantastic day. :pinkiehappy:

Excellently done.

A joy to read and a wonderful trip down our own psychological thoughts :derpyderp2:

Also, great going on the gore! :pinkiesick:

2646233 Thank you, I'm surprised that this one shot entertained you so much. I was just inspired by listening to music loosely based on revenge and this thing popped into my brain. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Also, my other works may not be as serious as this, but I like writing darker short stories about exploring our psychological evils and such. I'll probably write a few more in the future, but who knows.

2649118 Thanks. I wanted to kind of explore what drives us to revenge while also capturing the arrogance that accompanies it.

The gore... yeah... It's amazing what my sick mind can come up with on a moments notice, especially when it concerns battle scenarios.

2650939 Well I'll look forward to your future works as well, but this was just simply amazing. When I clicked on this first I was kinda thinking "Eh, got nothing else to do, new story, might as well give it a look see." and I was surprised by how much more it was than I thought it would be.

This has been added to my favorites displayed on my user page, for being such a great story in so few words.

I bid you yet another good day.

I stayed up until 5 in the morning so I'd have the time to read this slowly and carefully and it was well worth the wait! Needless to say, I didn't read it slowly at first and had to read it again... and again... and again...

I wish you kindness everlasting and arcane luck in your future endeavors, both near and distant.

Yours in chaos,

2651221 Really!? That is amazing! Thank you!

Even though this story has only a small number of views, It has succeeded in a way I never thought it would. I thank you all for that immensely.

2651694 Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the watch and fave.

2654872 Well just be glad you got off to a good start and got likes first, rather than getting 3 dislikes and then a like, such was the case with mine.

Hey! This is actually pretty damn good! Nicely done.

4443892 Thank you for the compliment. I'm glad to see that some people are still enjoying this old one-shot.

The biggest game for fools

The prince leaned in close to the old king and whispered into his ear. “We may be similar, but I won’t make the same mistake you did. This time, there won’t be anyone to avenge you. This is for my mother, my father, and for Equestria!”

The cycle ends here.
