Suuure. You know, no F-16 has been destroyed in Yugoslavia either. Here's how it works: The plane gets shot down, they make a new plane with an old serial number, ta-da! It's as if the jet has never been blown to peices with an old SA-2 Guideline. You know, like that "Stealth" fighter. Same thing, except with a tank.
Don't you facehoof me. Abrams has an auxiliary motor at the back of it's turret, as far as I know. If it takes a burst of .50 cal, the turret can no longer turn, therefore tank is disabled. Then there's also a matter of RPG-29. That thing can penetrate even the "active" protection systems (not to mention ERA and Abrams frontal armor) Which Abrams doesn't actually have. It has a bunch of decoys.T-90 has and advanced "Shtora-1" electro-optical protection system, in addition to standard armor and ERA. Also, T-90 main gun is ATGM capable. Also, T-90 has an autoloader.
The united states military tech is not as advanced as some people believe. You know where it shows? No one wants to buy American shit anymore, countries prefer either Russian or Israeli.
2611369 And German, I won't lie, if I were to put money on it, I'd say the Leopard-2 is the best tank, but the Challenger 2 is also pretty damn good. Also, a .50 caliber AP round can punch through 25mm of tank armour, more than enough to take out the back auxiliary motor. Also hitting the tracks with AP rounds would have devastating results, not to the point of the vehicle actually shutting down but the tank would stop, leaving it vunerable to Anti-tank crew... and a lot of times, when a vehicle is destroyed, they take it back to the shops and repair it so it technically wasn't 'Destroyed' but rather temporarily disabled... funny how those things work... our world really is something else

From what ive seen. (While playing Battlefield: Bad company 2) Tanks can take one or the other out easily. So this was a surprise, being this long of a Fanfic.
