No problem, I very much enjoyed it. However, as you said, it could have be a quick blurb; they continue fighting, going on to take on the next set of Mars or something like that would have sufficed. It didn't need to be more than a paragraph long. Heck, could have been two sentences. The focus would have still been on the ponies and humans, but that little side note so that we're not left wondering if Discord's prank ended up burning bridges.

Course, that could be placed either midway as a breaker between pony and human, or at the very beginning. I doubt it would work as well at the end, the way you ended the epilogue was too good to blurge. Just my opinion though.

Late comer to your story .....well done! Knowing this is a fantasy....You had a few moments there where you had me reliving my own bouts of PTSD......Please don't take that the wrong way.....It just lets me know I have to step back and get a fresh grip on my perspective.
