The holidays are upon us, and For The First Time In (what feels like) Forever, Rarity and her friends are spending the holiday together.

As a Chicago native, I would be remiss not to suggest going there for the holidays, so we do. This is good for me, because now I can show my city!

I have no reason to believe that anything could go wrong on this trip. After all, what could be more fun then meeting Rarity’s friends? Plus, for Rosalina and I, this will be our first holiday season spent in Chicago together. Having lived in the “Ice World” when we met, this will be a nice homecoming for us, and a happy Hearth’s Warming for Rarity and her friends.

After many months of paperwork, divvying up property, and finding an available court date - the third of which taking more than half of the timeframe, the inevitable has arrived. For the third time, I am appearing before a judge to terminate a marriage certificate. One would think that I’d get used to it since this is my third, but alas. It doesn’t get any easier.

Worse still, my family are now discovering the story of my accident. While it occurred a long time ago, it’s clear that despite their denial of my existence, they can no longer keep that up. As a result, I now have to resort to some pretty extreme tactics to avoid being seen by them. While I don’t doubt that at least some of them are willing to talk to me, I can’t take any chances. As far as I’m concerned, I have a bounty on my head.

Rarity is an accomplished dress designer based in White Plains, NY. Her designs have caught the eye of the owner of an upper echelon by-appointment-only shop with locations in Beverly Hills, CA and Fifth Avenue, NYC. They have just finished debuting a collaboration, with Rarity’s dresses designed as perfect complements to the men’s collections of the Beverly Hills store. Now, Rarity needs to return to San Francisco so she can work on her next collection.

Enter me. My name is Split Scimitar, but I just go by Max. I‘m a pilot with a pretty sweet gig: my own on-demand charter service with a fleet of airliners. I own 2 airports, one in Southern California and one in Chicago, which serve as my “hubs.” I spend most of my time in California, as my wife Rosalina runs a helicopter tour business in Hawaii. I have a controlling interest in the clothing shop, but I still let them do their own thing. In addition to my wonderful fleet of airplanes, my true party piece is my garage so large, I’ve lost count.

In short, my life is pretty much perfect. And it’s about to get better.

It’s high time for another spring harvest at Sweet Apple Acres. Big Mac and Applejack do all the picking by hand, Apple Bloom is therefore tasked with delivering the apples. Since most of their product doesn’t even go outside the state, Sweet Apple Acres prides themselves on being able to provide a local, direct from the source delivery service to their community. As this year’s harvest has a predicted bumper crop, the need for a second driver has arisen.

Being hired as temporary help also provides me with an opportunity to talk to Applejack about what happened in Chicago.
