Rainbow has an image to maintain, but after helping Rarity with several projects, she starts to wonder if looking a bit feminine is bad after all. And who knows? When all is said and done, she may end up with something, or someone, she never expected.

Today's the day! Twilight is finally going to tell Rainbow Dash how she feels, and it couldn't be a better day for it! But there's still plenty that could go wrong, including Rainbow saying no. Needless to say, things go wrong in a way neither of them could have imagined, and Twilight's day goes from bad to worse...

This is more or less just setup for the sequel, and the sequel is much better than this.

This story is a sequel to The Arrival of Ford Mustang

It's been over a year since the Arrival of Ford Mustang, a former human being from Earth, now a full-fledged Pegasus in Ponyville, and things have been going really well with him and Rainbow Dash ever since they became a couple nearly a year ago. With their one-year anniversary coming up, Ford decides it's time to pop the question and ask Rainbow for her hoof in marriage. However, an unknown force of darkness rises from the shadowy depths of the earth and achieves his ultimate plan that can not only seal the fate of Equestria, but for the rest of the world as well.

Now, without the aid of the Princesses and the Elements of Harmony, it's up to Ford Mustang and his elderly dragon friend, Hindel, to set things right and stop this monstrous tyrant once and for all. But is Ford up to the daunting task at hand? What kind of allies will he run into along the way? And what is Hindel's connection with the vengeful pony from long ago? Twilight Sparkle is not well.

After the incident in Ponyville, Twilight has been moved to the Canterlot Mental Hospital, a top of the line care facility. Rainbow Dash has moved to Canterlot as well, to be there to provide support to Twilight.

Along the way, she will learn things about Twilight that she didn’t even know she didn’t know, as well as meet important ponies from Twilight’s past.

Twilight Sparkle is not well. But there is a plan for her and she is recovering.

The thing about life is, it never quite goes according to plan.

This story is a sequel to my other story, Unwell.
As a result, it won't much sense if you don't read that one first.

It's a phrase Rainbow Dash has heard nearly every day of her life. Wherever she roams, Fluttershy is sure to be trailing behind. The quiet, fearful girl running along after the one who never seemed to know fear. It hadn't changed in all their years, despite everything they'd seen and done.

The thought that it might change was a little too frightening to think about.
