Just why is it that most of the ponies in her family have wings. But her dad does not?

There is a perfectly normal reason why.

However that might not be the answer she gets.
Because today Shining Armour has decided to be a Terrible Dad.

"I would say I was the king of darkness or former king of the crystal empire. But now, I am In a predicament where I have been transformed back to an infant, lost all my powers, and now sit next to the world's first alicorn baby."

"And to make matters worse, I must re-live my life from an infant without the blessing of my powers. Did I ask for this? NO! Do I want to go through with this? Absolutely not! Do I have a choice on the matter? Nope!"

Princess Flurry Heart needs a dance partner and the pickings are slim for a mare like her at the Grand Galloping Gala. Her options are either old, obnoxious, or both. Luckily, there is one other mare her age at this party, Princess Twilight Sparkle's new student Luster Dawn, making her first public appearance nearly a full year into her tutelage. Unfortunately, she's not as eager for a dance as Flurry Heart is.

Twilight is about to go run errands with Pinkie Pie, and leaves Spike to foalsit both her little niece and the Cake Twins. Remembering the disaster that was her first meeting with Pound and Pumpkin, Flurry tries to make up for last time by having a friendly conversation with them. Will the twins forgive her?

Set before the finale. Rated T for potty humor (though it's no worse than what you'd see in a nineties Nicktoon).

Flurry and Spike visit Rainbow Dash and her kids in their new home just outside of Ponyville. While Rainbow Dash leaves to go spend some time with her parents, her lively and mischievous son, Storm Streak tries to coax Flurry into running away to see a Wonderbolts show. Flurry won't let Stormy get himself into such trouble, but she has no idea how determined the little colt is to prove his mother's worth.

Inspired by the official show, this is part of a fan-made sequel series I created called "Flurry Heart's Story", which documents the adventures of Flurry Heart as she makes friends and faces new and familiar villains, some of which may still be redeemable.

Celestia and Flurry Heart have arrived in New Mareland, safe for now from the Lunar Empire. However, the distance from Nightmare Moon does not mean there are no problems to face for the two of them.

With a resurgent Karthinian Pact under king Garibald Talonuel III to the east, an Aquileian Republic reborn in the Second Revolution to the north and only the Celestial Sea between New Mareland and the Lunar Empire, Celestia must play a dangerous game of politics like she hasn’t had to do in a long time, all the while taking care of Flurry Heart.

New Mareland itself is in a turbulent state that could easily escalate should things go from bad to worse. For now, the country is united against the Lunar Empire, but that can change rapidly. This too Celestia will need to keep an eye on, for her own safety and that of her ponies.

The coming years will be decisive for all the world, from Soryth to Hornavik and from the far northern shores of Pingland to the warm mountains of Hippogriffia, Through the actions of few the fates of many will be set in stone, or forever changed.

Shining Armor has one task this evening: guard the cookie jar from Flurry Heart. What he didn't anticipate was his daughter getting some very fluffy friends to help in her raid.
