Cooks are nuts, and so are the mares who get involved with them. Anonymous knows this first-hand. As Head Chef at one of Ponyville's new restaurants, the human living in a world of ponies finds himself dealing with an unexpectedly discerning customer. What follows is a tale of sordid pasts, webs of lies, and most importantly, the love of food that brings people, and ponies, together.

Many of us older ponyfans will remember or at least know about the old text-based adventure games- games that were sometimes a contest with mysterious requirements, sometimes a contest with an obstinate text parser, and sometimes a contest to keep from falling out of your chair laughing. Brought to us most famously by Infocom, these include the Zork series, as well as a few based off of other things (including even The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy).

In the time since, many fandoms have had fics written as though they were these games- several for the aged Ranma 1/2 fanfiction community, and more recently the renowned You Awaken On Razor Hill (warning: not for the more temerous bronies among us, or those that are not fond of Warcraft).

So... someone ought to do it. And so if I know someone's got to do it, why leave it on another pony's withers?

This includes Mayor Mare, who has an audience with him but first wants to ask her occasional drinking buddy one question: Why?

In an alternative universe the ninjas from the hidden village of Konoha discover an ancient temple used to protect a forgotten clan and to test ninja's loyalty. In a complete twist of fate, a team of ninja manages to seal a demon fox inside a stone orb and banish it from existence. But where did it go? And how could this possibly have an effect on the ponies of Equestria?

When something in the Everfree Forest starts preying on the citizens of Ponyville, the ponies must decide where the line is between pony and monster and how far they are willing to go to protect those they love. Applejack and Rarity feel especially strongly when Apple Bloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle are caught up in the problem. Twilight seeks advice from Zecora but her friends are left to decide amongst themselves when the two go missing in the Everfree.

Meanwhile, Mayor Mare faces an attack of a different kind when a pony who would like to replace her accuses her of not protecting the citizens well enough, Scootaloo comes to terms with her own limitations and the ponies confront a question that forces them to face up to some home truths about their own lives and histories. What DOES make a good mother?

One stormy night, Rainbow is on weather watch and tries to tackle a twister that is too strong for her, crashing miles from anywhere and unable to fly.
She is posted Missing In Action and her friends and family believe her to be dead, but a grumpy old hermit comes to her rescue.

At exactly 8:47 this morning, in the small town of Ponyville a mere several miles from the capital of Equestria, one of the most wanted criminals of Equestria and the greater outlying areas was arrested on several counts of one of the worst crimes that can ever possibly be committed in the world. The absolute pinnacle of criminal intent:
Non.
Consensual.
Hugs.

Ponyville wasn't always the same town as it is now. There were fewer residents, and most who stayed planned on leaving. It was in this dismal scene that a young filly erected a simple wooden stand for a school project. It was made from planks, paint, and a little hard work. As it turns out, that's all it takes to save a town from disappearing from the map, and along the way, change the lives of countless ponies.
