"The stars shall aid in her escape," it said.

It never said anything about a space bridge.

Megatron and his elite warriors had expected to teleport from the Oregon desert to Earth's moon. Instead they found themselves in pony bodies, stripped of most of their power, and forced to learn how to live like other organic life forms.

But Megatron has a plan. He will bide his time, learning about this new world and its new potential while his underlings try to find a way back to their home universe. If he can figure out a way to overthrow Celestia and conquer this land of ponies before then, so much the better.

This, of course, requires that his subordinates not act like idiots... and while he can count on Soundwave and Ravage, the same can't be said of Rumble, Frenzy, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Thundercracker or Skywarp.

And especially not Starscream.

A series of slice-of-life stories (with a little adventure) in which some of Ponyville's background ponies are more than... well... you know.

Cover artwork commissioned from Jason Meador. (From left to right: Megatron, Soundwave, Laserbeak, Starscream, Ravage.)

This story is a sequel to The Once and the Future Princess

As of late, things have changed for Cozy Glow. She is not a prisoner any longer, but Princess Twilight's personal student together with Flurry Heart. She is not alone anymore, but she has made friends with plenty of ponies and become a valued friend in turn. She even has a special somepony!

Now she is ready to, for the first time in her life, be a normal filly. She will explore the world, learn and grow together with her friends and her mentor.

These are the ordinary days in the life of one of the most extraordinary ponies in Equestria.

This is an anthology series made up of one- and two-shots. Chronologically, this is set after "The Once and Future Princess", but before the Epilogue of that story. Reading the sequel should not be necessary to enjoy these stories by themselves, but it will provide the background for these stories.

This was written as a conceptual piece focusing on specifically a sort of poem styling. Although, I barely know what a poem is to begin with.

The original bonus of this story, "Background Characters Only", became the central idea throughout the entire thing.

As some people who have read this have pointed out, it's a bit confusing at times. To alleviate this, the actual answer is: "It's earth, there is no up or down."

But seriously, the concept was: What if it was not a singular being per-say but perhaps the spirit of the background pony. It, got a tad muddled but I think overall it works.

A piece which I originally wrote for Beans Writing group, Bean's Writing Group - Fimfiction

The original prompt was: Dancing with myself
The bonus: Background characters only (no OCs, no characters with dialogue outside of a brief cameo)

As always, Comments are appreciated!

Look up at the picture. You know the one, the cover picture none of you care about. See that stallion in the background there? That's me. You probably didn't see me at first because you were too busy best-ponying over Sweetie Belle, but it's to be expected.

There's a reason I'm so sad, but then again, I guess being forgotten will do that to you. Take chances, they said. Ask out a mare, they said. It'll be a fun time, they said.

Yeah, well, they lied.

Today you wake up and things are a little different than you expected. Instead of your bed, you're lying in a mountain clearing. Instead of your normal face, a stranger looks back at you in the stream's reflection. You remember everything about your life and your loved ones... everything except what happened last night that led you to... this.

This is a story of just such a pony. First told from the perspective of the ponies she meets in the first few days after the event and then again from her perspective. Together they tell of a pony who doesn't seek greatness, only answers.

***********************
This story is based in 1000 year old Canterlot and involves some of the ponies who wielded the Elements of Harmony during the banishment of Nightmare Moon (according to The Real Story fan fiction comic on Youtube and Deviantart). Reading those is NOT necessary, but will give some background into some of the side characters in the story (link if you want it: http://nimaru.deviantart.com/art/Gathering-Elements-Rook-267204706)

Something is wrong with the included illustrations and I don't know what! I've sent a message to Imgur to see if they can help me figure it out since it seems to be on their end. Until then, the story is also posted on my Deviantart page with pictures intact here: http://nimaru.deviantart.com/art/A-Second-Chance-Chapter-1-346684809

The name's Burt. Just Burt. I'm one of the local apiarists here in Ponyville, meaning I sell bees and bee products. You know, stuff like beeswax, honey, pollen, and royal jelly. I just moved in a few months ago, and so far I have to say life around here is pretty good.

Now if only I could figure out what these mares are doing with my bees, I'd be golden.

This is the first in a series of standalone stories for background ponies from MLP:FIM Season 4.

First up: The beekeeper stallion from Castle Mane-ia, whom I’ve named Burt. Because reasons. This story starts off right where we left Burt after he got his bees back from three very silly mares.

Comments and critiques are appreciated.

To be an employee of Photo Finish is a great honor, but it can also be quite tiring at times... Most of the time, actually. Hairspray isn’t one to complain, and like all the others assistants of Equestria’s most famous photographer, she has learned to do her job, and do it well.

But today is one of those days when everything goes wrong, and Hairspray will have to deal with both Photo Finish' usual temper and the arrogance of another hairdresser who is decided to get the job for herself.

//

Author's note:
Remember Photo Finish’ assistants from the episode Green isn’t your Color? No? Well here’s a reminder of who they are since they’re the main characters of this one-shot:

-Hairspray: the pony seen taking care of Fluttershy’s mane – and the one from the story’s picture.
-Powder Rouge: the one going through the whole “too much blush, not enough blush” with Fluttershy.
-Pinny Cushion: the one with a violet mane seen working with Hairspray and Powder Rouge and taking care of Fluttershy’s dress.

Those background ponies seem to have been forgotten by bronies and pegasisters, but they deserve some attention too!

In the early 1990s, a small research facility in New England makes a breakthrough in teleportation technology. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite the breakthrough they were going for.

Instead of sending Calvin to an exoplanet 148 light years away, it sends him somewhere... much further.

His mission is initially to just survive until his team can rescue him. However, as things start going south in Equestria, he decides it's his duty to step in and make things right (in his very... human way). After all, he does have a couple pretty great tricks up his sleeve...

It's not like things are at a standstill back on Earth, either. As Calvin's former colleagues attempt to bring him back, they discover their employer's hidden secret and broken mind, which may be the undoing of all they've built.

Lyra decides that the life of a nice, gentle, background pony is not the life for her. After many hours wasted coming up with a way to make her stand out more, she finds a solution to her problem. By becoming a gangster of course! The only problem is that Ponyville is not exactly a crime filled town and Lyra is not quite actually sure how to fulfill her new role.

A short comedic story.

Rated teen for drug references.

--Undergoing a rewrite, nothing major, just quality and two minor aesthetic details in the story. Still readable!-- This is also Not a madverse story

It is now distantly into mankind's future. Our destiny has led us into the starry beyond, and worlds uncounted.

Fate has a funny way of forcing itself onto others; it gives you a choice, but in the end, did you ever really choose? Our fates become intertwined with one little planet in particular. We take from it something unforgivable.

Our heroes and heroines now fight mystery with magic and seek answers from a world and people far beyond their comprehension. They seek their home. Can they get there? Can they survive the journey they must make? Perhaps most importantly, will who they are survive?

Simply put the story is a sci fi epic. I intend to tell a fantastic tale of hope, friendship, big meaty energy weapons and bigger stompy war machines. Also ponies. LOTS of ponies. As well as some societal and moral complications. The ponies, essentially, get abducted and fight to get free and home while preserving who they are, both against humanity and with the help of people.

Not so simply put this story is one of moral ambiguity, the details of the sociological and technological advancement of a human race which defeats death itself. As well as their voyage through the stars on an endless pilgrimage. Our fates become tied with Equestria's to a degree, and we take from them something unforgivable.

As an additional warning this story contains magical mustaches and dubious use of magic and technology in general! Talk to your doctor before reading.
