Sweetie Belle finally did it. She got her cutie mark. Should be a day of Sunshine and Rainbows, right? Well, the universe is not always so kind to little fillies. Things got complicated.

With six days to go until Hearth's Warming, the bitter winds and barren branches of winter are held at bay by the seasonal tidings of joy that seem to flow forth from the land itself - infusing every rock, tree, and pony in Ponyville with a glowing warmth that no squall, even that from the ancient windigos, could ever hope to stamp out.

Amidst a backdrop of merriment, two Cutie Mark Crusaders search for the truth behind an absence in their ranks. In their mission to become whole again, they learn that they must always believe.

Rarity and Applejack find themselves placed against each other during a charity exhibition fight. Applejack worries her friend may be a little bit in over her head.

Applebloom has grown tired of being at a disadvantage when it comes to earning cutie marks, and she doesn't want to be involved in Scootaloo's pegasus-related opportunities. There is only one logical conclusion to the belief: try to be a unicorn. Sure being great at magic is one thing, but how does it go once she actually succeeds, but more importantly, how long can her magic abilities last?

Originally an idea stemming from a random prompt from englishwitch on a forum in the "Twilight's Library" group.
I started this because I thought it was for a write-off, but continued because I liked the concept.
Not sure if this is what was meant by the suggestion, but this is what I came up with when I thought of the prompt.

Twilight has the power to change the biological structure of anypony, or anydragon into something else. And, after seeing Rarity fall over other stallions, Spike the dragon wants Twilight to change him into a pony so that he could finally have a chance to be with the mare of his dreams. She gives in and casts a spell on Spike, turning him into a pony. However, this spell is temporary, unless Spike gets his cutie mark within three days.

But becoming a pony for the sake of Rarity comes at a price; Twilight Sparkle will lose her one and only number one assistant, something that is dear to both her and Spike.

A stolen book, seemingly, leads to the death of the CMC. However, after a botched attempt to save their lives, it becomes apparent that the crusaders may not be as dead as they appear.

Now it is up to Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash to pick up the pieces. As they find themselves having to start all over again with the fillies, as well as handle any of the consequences that came with this change.

Now, only time will tell if the three fillies will ever be the same again.
