Twilight Sparkle wanted nothing more than to see the Northern Stars on the Zeppelin Cruise with her family. But thanks to Iron Will, who was running the cruise, her dreams are smashed into pieces. Saddened by seeing Twilight's heart broken, her family does everything they can to try and console her.

Author’s Note: This story is to serve as how Twilight’s family SHOULD have approached the situation when Twilight started sobbing after missing out on the Northern Lights.

In 2025, Hasbro Biotech introduced a new product---the Hassenfeld Pony---genetically-engineered horses made to look and act like the characters of an obscure show called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Despite the high asking prices and the ethical questions surrounding them, they took the world by storm. Thousands of households in America, and tens of thousands more overseas, soon had one of their own.

She's seen dozens of graduating classes go beyond her realm. Graduate and pass off into adulthood, move from her aged classroom and to bigger and better things than what high school could offer them. If their life peaked here, it was not because of her; it was always best to encourage more than a teenage life. But watching so many settle for so little grated Cheerilee to her core.

She'd studied for years to tend to others. Her medicinal skills were perhaps not as fine as the greatest surgeon's, but she knew human anatomy. To heal wounds, to comfort terrified souls, to dispense medical knowledge that would benefit those about her; Redheart was as capable a comfort as she was a clinic, and nothing this school could bring her had managed to best her yet. But to deal with the excess of teenage stupidity and bravado when so many seemed intent on wounding themselves was despairing.

It was tired to watch the world go by, growing older alongside you. Maybe they just needed a breather, and a whispering ear.

Queen Novo banishes Twilight and her friends to the deepest reaches of the ocean. In this dark and desolate place of water and silence, giving in to one's animal instincts seems like the obvious course of action.

Thus Spike awakens, trapped and alone in an unfamiliar place. But as he quickly learns, it's a lot worse than that.

You'd think that the super-confident Sheriff of Maretime Bay would have an easier time asking somepony out on a date. But Gloomy Sonnet is no ordinary mare.

Applejack discovers that Winona is ill, and neither Fluttershy nor Zecora have the medicine she needs. However, the flower the medicine is derived from, known as the silver crown, can be found deep in the heart of the Everfree Forest. While Fluttershy stays behind to take car of Winona, Applejack sets off to find the silver crown, accompanied and aided by Zecora, Twilight, and Rainbow Dash. But along the way, they'll find themselves facing a wide variety of obstacles and entities, including dangerous terrain, carnivorous wildlife, and several other surprises. Will they experience the adventure of a lifetime? Or will this quest turn into a living nightmare?

This story takes place a thousand years ago when Luna turned to nightmare moon and a guard knows he must sacrifice himself to save those he cares for.

Twilight Sparkle made a very keen observation upon arriving in the fair town of Ponyville. Which was also rather close to the truth. Almost everypony in Ponyville are crazy to some degree. It was intentional... Them being there, not them being crazy, that is. Though precautions had to be taken so one did not end up crazy as well. The town may have originally been settled by the Apple family to form part of Equestria's breadbask- er, applebasket, but its centralized location, safety and isolation from anywhere important meant it was also ideal to house the eccentric outbursts of its residents without bothering anypony. Several key members of Ponyville worked as doctors in addition to the "real" doctors. Gauging and checking up on the residents and ensuring they feel useful or simply providing some much needed social interaction... For the extreme cases Ponyville had a hospital facility with its own mental ward.

Occasionally strangers pass through town, unaware of its purpose. They tend not to stay long.

Sometimes they stay longer than they'd planned...
