A group of aliens invade and conduct an experiment that puts the planet on the course of extinction. With no way to fight it, the ponies are forced to live out the rest of their days knowing that it will all end soon.

That said, Twilight would like to see tonight's talent show. She also hears that the art gallery is having its grand opening. It will be fun.

Nightmare Moon returns to Equestria after a thousand-year exile and demands Princess Celestia battle her for the kingdom’s throne. Celestia refuses to fight her sister again and lets herself be banished to the moon instead. Now, unable to influence matters any further, she busies herself during her stay. Her short stay. It’ll only be a single day... hopefully.

I wasn't expecting to wake up with a princess lying next to me. At most, I was expecting my dog! Well, now I've got a problem... what now?

(I made this after a dream I had. I'll mark it as incomplete, but I doubt anything else will be added... unless I'm pestered. [which probably won't happen.])

In the aftermath of the Battle of the Bands and the defeat of the Dazzlings, Sunset Shimmer revealed one of her only hobbies that she still had, even if she was rusty. Surprising, it had been described by both her friends and Twilight. For Sunset, though, enlightening or invigorating would be a more apt admission. Now forced to return home to her apartment by the sudden arrival of gloomy weather, she has time to think, to practice.

Minuette had everything she could ever want. Her dream job. A posh townhouse with a fully-paid mortgage. A standing offer to use the castle's library and a group of friends who loved her for who she was.

She still missed Twilight though.

And she'd hoped that Twilight's newfound social skills would prompt her to visit her old friend once more. Or write a letter. Or do literally anything else. But it seemed she hadn't ever mattered to the mare who had haunted her daydreams since freshman year.

Nopony in town paid much attention to the antiquated farm wagon on runners piled high with a cargo concealed under an old tarp—but Spuds did. What could be piled so high, and yet light enough that a pair of teenage siblings could tow it?

One mystery was solved as the tarp came off at the mercantile, but that led to more questions, and presently a tour of the homestead was arranged, and Spuds learned not only how wicker is harvested, but also what kind of pony harvests the thatching for his roof and makes the broaches that hold it to the rafters . . . and also make the laundry pegs that hold his sheets and blankets on the clothes line.

This story is a sequel to The Shadow Knows!

Woody Buck is a deer who has made a name for himself as an investigator of all things unfair, unjust, and corrupt. After hearing about something seriously wrong going on in Vanhoover, he decides to offer his services to Princess Twilight Sparkle to find out what's what. He ends up getting more than he bargained for as he smashes Vanhoover wide open, revealing the ugly corruption within.

This is essentially an alternate ending to the story "Accursed Mark". I disliked the cop-out ending and how rushed and meaningless it was. I decided to give it new life in the style of another mystery radio show I love so much: "Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar."

The life expectancy of a dragon is different from that of an Alicorn pony, but love knows no boundaries. Through life and death, a mother promises that she will always be there for her son.

It won't be easy.

Ponyville Postal has had to send a lot of mail to one remote mountain recently. That was no problem; their best mailmare would always deliver them as they were.

Then she couldn't.

This last message was altered in transit. Yet it still reached the recipient, and this saved their life. None of this was supposed to happen, but life finds a way.
