Beautiful. I will always be a sucker for Twilight being Spike's de facto mom. Nowadays it's a rarity (pun not intended) for stories to use the angle that Spike could be the one to outlive the others, including Twilight, and it wouldn't just be Twilight hurting when the rest of the Mane 6's time came.
Even though I do prefer Spike and Twilight having a brother sister relationship, this story is too beautiful for me to care, you did a great job

Yeah, its a bit annoying that people are having Twilight angsting she outlived all of her friends, but forgot that Spike would still be alive(if not immortal too)

I think this is the only recent fic too touching on the fact Spike will outlive everyone too.
I still think that Twilight would outlive Spike. It never said how old Torch was so we don't know how long Dragons live but Celestia and Luna were over 1,000.

For the sake of the story, it works well.
As someone with mild autism, I have difficulty handling strong emotions. When one comes along, I tend to freak out. Thus, when I say this story nearly gave me a panic attack, know that that is the highest praise for a story of this genre I can give.

I was diagnosed with autism and ADHT myself, and writing this story was as much a hardship as it was a blessing. The story itself contains a subtle reference to a traumatizing MLP fan video I once watched on Youtube, dealing with the subject of grief and loss, which hurted me so much I had to go to therapy (I still do), so I get what you mean. Handling emotions can be harrowing for the likes of us.
Giving people panic attacks is no passion of mine, but since it rythms with the highest form of praise in your case, just know that I feel the sincerest form of gratitude in return!
