To preface: This is not a joke. I promised y'all no follower pranks last year, and I'm sticking to that this year as well. Though I did briefly consider reverting to my old username or using this as my avatar...

For the past week or two, I've been performing an extensive edit to Broken Symmetry in preparation for its EQD feature.
Awww yiss.
It's just under a week away and I cannot wait, so I figured a reminder post about Everfree Northwest would be a good idea.
There are less than 40,000 words left to revise! Once that's done, I can finally move on, both by focusing on updates and the remaining stories in need of revision.
Chapter one rewrite is finally done, after more time and work than I ever intended to put into it XD Big thanks to The Wandering Zebra for giving me some tips and letting me bounce thoughts and ideas off of him. It’s amazing how effective talking to someone can be in processing and organizing your thoughts. Even something as minor as that can be a MASSIVE help, though, in The Wandering Zebra’s case, they also preread the story
I don't know if these frequent posts will become tiresome, but I feel its necessary to keep you informed of my progress and prove that I'm not going to disappear again.
With that said, ME:C - Chapter 3. Medical Supplies has been updated.
Dammit... This is my third time deciding if I should cut a particular scene. Which undoubtedly means I should cut the scene. I've never considered cutting a scene that I wanted to leave in. It's just such a pain. I put a lot of work into it, but it doesn't fit with the chapter's theme. It's fun, but the chapter works just as well if not better without it. Sooo into my folder of cut scenes, it goes XD
In keeping with the recent brain damage that is making me less depressionated, I am soon likely to submit The Price of a Smile to EQD. (Maybe to other places too, if only I knew about them. Suggestions appreciated.)
HEY KIDS! DID YOU ENJOY THE FIRST CHAPTERS OF E.R.O, BUT GOT REALLY ANNOYED AT ALL THE ERRORS???
looks at all chapters up to the latest one
hits the revise button
No but seriously I'm revising the shit out of all chapters up to the latest. as well as working on the next chapter. Revisions will include;
- New sex scenes.
- Additional pieces to existing scenes.
- Better writing. (duh)
- And better characterization of the royal sisters, and more flirting with Vintage.
So Chapter 7 has finally been updated, only three more to go, and I'm making good progress. While I had announced that I'd hoped to have a new chapter up by the second week of April, sadly, that does not seem to be possible.
I'm not going to make excuses, nor can I discuss what has happened, but let's just say certain issues have demanded more of my attention than I'd anticipated. Thus, why my progress has been slowed.
Rest assured that a new chapter is coming.
So chapter 9 and 10 were the two I dreaded the most. After reading them again I realized that having Shepard, AJ, and Dash fight, the way I did, was rather out of character; especially for the latter two. So I removed the fight and added a new story plot point that I think will be a lot more fun to play with in the future. So anyway with 9 and 10 being combined into a singular chapter this brings me to the end of the revisions and new chapters will be coming up soon.
It's just like the blog entitles. The 14th chapter of this book went from 4,019 words the first go-over...to nearly 10k in this newly revised version. It will, by far, be the biggest chapter I have so far written, and...it will be my one of my top 3 favorite chapters I have written for this book.
Many moons ago, back when I was a bad worse writer, I posted a preliminary idea for a story. It was about a freshly-alicorned Twilight, and her struggle with learning a new type of magic. Celestia asks her to learn war magic; whereas combat magic deals with combat between individuals, war magic deals with conflicts between armies. If combat magic is the bow and arrow or the sword, then war magic is the
I've spent nearly a month rewriting Broken Symmetry. The revisions are finally complete, including new full-color diagrams!
Yeah, I know. Took me long enough.
Sorry to all that have been waiting for this story to update. I am currently in the process of revising every single chapter. So what you may have read in the past may no longer apply due to changes in perspective and plot elements. it will still have the same premise, but since the rules dictate that I am not allowed to post a story that is the same as a previous one, EVERY chapter will be changed in the coming weeks.
This is just to give you guys a few updates on my progress and life in general.
Work has been really tough lately, my contracted hours have been extended so I am in more often, though its still not quite full time work, although the amount of overtime I pull compenartes for that. This means there has been less time to work on the story than I would like, but I am making do.
I've just republished the first few chapters of The Sound of One Hoof Clopping, my ponified Zen koan collection.
Sooooo Yeah.
I quite messed up that last chapter didn't I?
Sometime between now and next update I'm going to rewrite it. The fundamental events won't change - but I'll expand on what did happen and I'm pretty sure I'll remove one of the two 'pointless' scenes.
