Reminiscence...Went A Bit Too Long · 11:24pm Jul 10th, 2023
It's just like the blog entitles. The 14th chapter of this book went from 4,019 words the first go-over...to nearly 10k in this newly revised version. It will, by far, be the biggest chapter I have so far written, and...it will be my one of my top 3 favorite chapters I have written for this book.
Let me explain. In the newly revised version, I added a couple more flashbacks and character-building scenes. The transitions and formatting have been improved, and the shifts in POV are all over the place. But, that's where the chapter's title comes in. It's all about 'reminiscing,' and to me, that hits home so much.
Looking fondly back to the good times I had growing up, wondering where life would take me, but enjoying my childhood and teens. Once I got to college, the game changed dramatically. You're not a little kid anymore, mommy isn't holding your hand...it's all on you.
So, this chapter will definitely rank as my one of my top 3 favorite chapters in this book, and no matter how the last 10 chapters turn out, or how chapters 15-22 will look after they are revised (spoiler), it's gonna mean a lot to me. And I hope you all will enjoy it too. I'm planning on having it completely proofread and released tomorrow, so stick around and keep your eye out for that.
Afterward, we move onto Chapters 30-33, with the first 3 chapters being a three-parter! And the last chapter is a HUGE Intermission, with, yes...that chapter being mostly romantically-themed. Until then, stay safe and carry on! Byeee!
