Sneak Preview · 3:34pm Oct 17th, 2023
Hey guys! Harpy here!
I am slowly concocting this newest short story of mine, since the new reading-and-writing club at my school got restarted. The assignment we got was to create a "short story based on a dream you had," and the one I chose to do was slightly based on a dream. It was first inspired by an idea I was talking about between me and another writer, and once I slept on it and woke up the next day, I knew what the story was going to be about.
This is going to be the funniest story I will probably ever write, so it is meant to be lighthearted. It'll have a T-rating though, since there is some interpretation of death, but not too much. It does take place in the Alexander Walkerson timeline, and has relevance to the current story arc.
Here is a sneak preview of the draft so far.

Nocreature said anything as Alex’s wide smile slowly faded into nervous laughter. “I thought you said this would work, Mikey,” Alex muttered to his watch.
“Well, that was our best option….”
ahem! “Let’s say this stupidly insane idea that has an unbelievably astronomically low chance of working actually does work,” Twilight began saying, “what other option is there?”
Celestia opened her mouth but words refused to leave as she couldn’t come up with an idea. Everycreature in the room devolved into puzzled worry before Nacreous shrugged. “I guess we have no choice but to try this out,” the hippogriff replied.
sigh “Although I don’t believe it will be possible to stop this,” Discord grumbled. “I have to agree with Nacreous. This may be our best choice available.”
“Okay.” Celestia’s quick reply immediately scared the human who continued to hold onto the tape. “Alex…don’t be bull-”
“I promise I am not!...u-uh, Celestia. Sorry.” Alex timidly concluded before walking toward the two alicorn sisters. As they prepared to teleport toward the Umberfoal entrance, the ceiling of the castle ripped off and revealed the sky.
A roaring breeze screamed as the trio teleported away to the Umberfoal Entrance, leaving Discord, Nacreous and Shifting Sands to stare in awe at the destructive rift. “Why does that look so familiar to me, Nacreous?” Discord gulped as he pointed toward the origin of it.
Nacreous’s head tilted as he realized what Discord was trying to say. “It’s originating from the top of the mountain?” the hippogriff reacted. “That’s…so strange.”
groan! “Why does that sound like a reference?” Shifting grumbled, covering his face with his hoof. Much to his dismay, he was right. The rift in space and time was atop the mountain that Canterlot castle was built into, which resembled a temple.
