Fun fact of the day: everyone knows that the Japanese infamously produce very few children, presently sitting at a rate of about 1.4 births per woman (replacement rate is 2.1 per woman). But did you know that the US would have an even lower reproductive rate if we had a similar proportion of children born out of wedlock? Presently, the birth rate within marriages in the US is 1.13, with all the rest of the births (bringing us up to 1.88 per woman) occurring out of wedlock. Only 2% of Japanese
Alrighty, kids, it's time for another mechanic blog! This time we're gonna talk about a Mazda Miata I worked on nearly 20 years ago, and then a F150 that I worked on just recently.
But first, you know what to do:

Hey guys! As a lot of you know, Everfree Northwest is happening this weekend, and the amazing RBDash47 is hosting a book vendor stall called Twilight's Book Nook at the convention. While I am not able to attend the convention by virtue of living on the exact opposite side of the country from Seattle, I was able to send a few copies
I gotta admit, I completely forgot about the poll this month..... As this happened, I should extend the voting deadline, but since no one has participated in the polls, so far, I will keep the usual end date of the poll. If you should decide to pledge to my Patreon account this month and still want to participate in the poll, you can send me a private message here or comment under this blog entry with your story
I stayed up until midnight working on my sewing project and then I spent all morning sewing that shit. I'm putting my sweat and tears into this project. I don't need it to be done for a couple more months, but I won't have this much free time for a long time.
Scribblefest judging is winding down, and I’m working on getting the last few stories judged. Expect some more review posts early next week on the rest of the stories, but I’ll be getting all the rest of them read and judged this evening.
Reminder to those who are participating - I'm but one judge of nine, so my opinions are not the final word on these stories.
Today’s stories:
Kaleidoscope by Winston
Idols by BlazzingInferno
Inadequecy by Regidar
Sorry we're late, Ring was asleep and that left Crazy and SC276 to put tonight's doc together.
Last week was the start of a horrible, wonderful thing. You guys are so lucky to get to live this. There are a lot of moments in this fic that fall within the first couple chapters that I can't WAIT to inflict upon you.
The new Tempo Boost Story Poll is live on my Patreon account! This is a day late, because I was operating on only 4 hours of sleep yesterday and then still had to go to an appointment and buy groceries, after which I slept pretty much the rest of the day, but now it's voting time!
Once more, like in the first two polls, you can vote for six stories, which are:
- Dreamwalker Dash
- Letters to Cozy Glow
I'm very busy lately. But here is a quick and short update so you won't be in the dark about my current writing progress anymore.
Here is just a little update about my donation page that I set up recently.
Last week's shuffle is donezo. Congrats.
This time around, we've got this year's stocking stuffer shuffle, which is ALSO an obscure crossover shuffle! Hoooooooo boy, the pain will be exquisite!
Last week's vote has been tallied. Starting in October, we will be riffing Mr. Enter's fic... but we're looping back to the runner-up, my own work, in November.
Good Morning, everypony! I say "Good Morning", because it has just become morning for me here, after spending an entire night with figuring out what kind of pony author I actually am. Now all of that is done and I present to you the results, as the next steps towards my planned Patreon account.
So we’re almost halfway through the month, and I’ve suddenly gained a desire to make some plans for the remainder of November. Most of them involve polishing up some stories and writing some blogs I’ve always been meaning to over the past year. Normally, I would’ve partaken in National Pony Writing Month like I have in other years, but unfortunately Equestria Daily wasn’t overseeing it this year. I could do my own version, but I found myself wanting to focus on my own work and squaring away

I am on FIMFiction.net for 10 years now. The anniversary was actually on Wednesday, July 19th, but the release of "The Sky is Gone: Acceptance" on my Patreon account made me stay up long the day before and I had to catch up on sleep, so I could not write this blog entry there. But I want to write about what happened during these 10 years.
Here is a retrospective of 10 Years on FIMFiction.net:
But because Knightly - and to arguably a greater extent, Meeester - are such fun-hating chocolate-starfish-gobbling hobos who temporarily ban people for putting episode content in their blogs, I can't show you the actual deleted scene. So I took the liberty of animating the deleted scene for you all. Because I'm a nice person. Because I love you all. And most importantly, because I'm not Mandopony.
Tons and tons of coffee..... "What does this mean?" you might ask now, but don't worry, I can give you the answer on this question about that crazy sentence up there!
I have a confession to make. I’ve been having troubles finishing what I’ve been trying to do, and instead of doing what I should be doing in terms of writing (or making title images), I’ve been faffing about, playing games (such as Ni No Kuni 2, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Darksiders 3), and keeping an eye on Devil May Cry 5. Speaking of, that’s a week away... sooooooo yeah... Gonna be playing that very soon.
Holy crap, so many good games lately...
