I didn't think they'd be able to top the season 4 finale but episode 13 of this season was just as good as it. Maybe even a smidge better! I can't wait for the finale of season 5! I am expecting it to be much better than last seasons. Which is mind blowing to me. And Super exciting!
So, yeah... Transformations just ended. That much is obvious. Still so many unresolved plot points, such as Smallfoot's friendship with Shatter and Dropkick amongst other things like Cemetary Wind and the Knights of Cybertron. Hell, I ended the story on a cliffhanger, mind you one with a frankly rather foregone conclusion such as the Autobots and humans working together to drive Onslaught and company off the planet.

The finale got me thinking. IMHO, other than Twilight, Rainbow has always been the second-most important cast member. She's the one that's got an ongoing storyline with the Wonderbolts, along with Rarity and to a lesser extent Fluttershy, she's had some of the most significant character development of the six, she's the one of them most famous after Twi herself, and her human counterpart is given higher prominence than the other four.
The following is something that I have written in the story "Discord Teaches Philosophy: on Love," from the double chapters "When to Leave." The subject has to do with divorce and how they occur. I would like to hear your thoughts on this in terms of both fictional and reality (if you are comfortable in talking about it).
Recipe for Getting Divorced
Ingredients:
1. Pinkie Pie's bathroom
Why would it be there? If the girl is crazy enough to handle chaos magic, then why would a normal item like a Dildo be in her house? Goodness knows she uses an alien appendage.
2. Donut Joe's coffee shop
No way Twilight would do something that ridiculous to someone she respects. Donut Joe is a respectful stallion and thus he doesn't attract raunchy mares. Unless they are business mare's like Harshwhinney.

Today, I’d like to present a new (possibly recurring) blog series. I was reading a college's literary magazine today. While most of the entries were aggressively mediocre, one particular phrase in one particular story stuck out to me. "I could still make out the tear stains on my mom's letter pages." What better catalyst for discussion than a cliché?
So, how was everybody's weekend? I just came back from Bronycon and I learned so much from the writing panels. I would have to say that the most useful thing I've learned are about two different approaches to the craft; the gardening approach, where you start with an idea and let it grow from there, and the structural style, where you plot out everything in advance.
After hearing about this movie three weeks ago, I have been waiting patiently to see if it is any good.......

Ever since I decided to join the fandom I have tried to catch up on every single piece of Mlp lore. And it has been overwhelming to say the least. Not only 9 seasons of episodes but also several comic books and other expanded material which just so happens to include both contradictions and several alternate realities.

It's no secret that Friendship is Magic has a preponderance of wish fulfillment, both in fanfiction and in art.
This is nothing new. All fiction attracts escapism by its very nature. Yet FIM as a fandom seems to have a lot more of it. You could argue the law of averages here—more fans and more internet exposure may make the problem seem more severe than it really is.
