Lately, I've been looking at a fic series entitled 'Friendship is Failure' by Dakari-King-Mykan.
I won't say anything about the writer but if you've heard of him and his work, you might know the reason why I take issue with this fic series.
The series is meant to reflect on friendship not solving every problem but how it comes out says more about the problems in regards to moral character of those it doesn't help than those who would insist it does.

Maybe if you don't win, you're just a loser.
Maybe if you don't succeed, you're just a failure.
Maybe if you aren't awarded with something, you haven't earned anything.
Maybe if you aren't rewarded, you haven't done anything worthwhile.
Maybe if you aren't included, you're just not want.
Maybe if you don't feel welcomed, you're not welcomed.
Maybe if you have nothing, you've gotten exactly what you deserve.

I have been giving this some thought and what with my progress slowed drastically, I feel this is better both on a strategic and professional level.
My opinion on Friendship Is Failure has not changed but I have come to realise that making the characters worse is insincere and making a fic at all in an accusatory and derisive manner just isn't professional. It makes me no better at the end of the day.
So I'll stop now. I feel like that's best.
