Friendship is Failure Idea (Pride and Punishment)

People keep yakking "Make something of yourself"

But that all depends on what YOU consider IS a "Something" and you can also decide whether you like it or not and how to act with it.

Me: I don't consider having a job I don't want or got the wrong way anything to be happy or proud about. Jobs make money." Still not happy or proud.

"It makes other people happy." Not happy or proud.

"It helps you be a decent human being." I don't see or want to see anything decent about it since I DON'T LIKE IT.

I could use this for a new Friendship is Failure "Pride and Punishment #2" (Or rather an alternate)

Suppose Talon Ted accepted a role after graduating college and earning a degree in action (Which he, again, did not approve of and wanted to prove you don't need such things)

His sister may be proud of him that he is now world famous, but he couldn't be anything less.

While he is a skilled actor, and has many fans, he cares not for them, and does not wish to accept their praise, give autographs, appear at conventions (None of it) At the end of the day, he just wants to go home (Where he lives on his own and remain out of sight as much as possible)

This earns ire from Ath-lita (His sister) but he refuses to talk to her or even acknowledge she's even alive. Even going as far to get a restraining order on her, which really makes her mad when she finds out why.

"You took away my real dream, you turned me into something I hate, and you abused me, hit me, and bullied me day-after-day until I complied with your demands to "Make something of myself" your way!

...I never want to see you again, Ath-lita. I don't want to know you, see you, or acknowledge you're alive.

This is your punishment, now live with it, and GET OUT OF MY LIFE!!!"

If Ath-lita tries to abuse him again, that will only prove Talon is correct-- that she is a bullying nutcase that belongs in a nuthouse for hurting others who don't comply to her way.

Worse even, Ath-Lita's brash behavior could result in her having her legs broken, thus killing her dream of being in the Equestrian Olympics. Even if not, she is kicked off the team and denied entry at any point for being exposed as the shameful twat she is.

To which Talon will be most amused now that she's lost her dream.

"You brought this on yourself... "Sister." (Which she did. She had no right to attack him, and it was only a matter of time before she hurt herself)

Talon's not really to be sympathized with for the most part, he's a character to BEWARE of, and angry pony who you don't want to get steamed up. You can't push him around, and you cannot tell him what is "Right" or what is "Wrong" only he will decide what is what for himself.

He's here to put a STOP to Twilight's OCD and his sister's pushing! So naturally, he can and is SUPPOSED to get away with what he does.

And while other ponies may seem him as a stunning actor, he does not share this view at all and scoffs at it.

Twilight: "But you've improved yourself! You have a chance to really Make something of yourself. You have TWICE as much as you had before."

Talon *Scoffs*: "Twice nothing is still nothing." (It still means nothing to me.)

And if you're saying he deserves to be punched, or his ass kicked. Well that only proves him right-- it won't matter to you if does what you say or not-- you'll just keep being bad to him, meaning there was no point in him changing or improving AT ALL.

Same goes with me in real life.

People have said to me

"Make something of yourself"

"Contribute to society"

"Be a Decent human being instead of garbage"

But then they said...

"No matter what, you will always be trash."

"An asshole is an asshole"

"I'll treat you like the garbage human you are because I can."

Which means, there is no point in IMPROVING, or anything related to it. Bad stuff is going to happen no matter what (Do it or don't do it. Change or Don't Change, improve or do't improve)

Whether I get a job and treat it like dirt or shame, or act like a jerk. (I see nothing to be proud or happy about it) Even if I don't... nothing will have truly changed.

"You're still a garbage human being, and I will continue to treat you like one"

...No matter What!
