Well, I missed most of Rebirth up to date. Yes, it's been a hard year on my end and from all the things I would like to have back, one would be my comics.
Somewhere behind me I got lost, now I'm searching deep within the dark.
So, people, if you were to made me read only five of the DC Comics: Rebirth or the DC's Young Animal lines (counting mini-series and one-shots), which ones would you recommend?

One more nice acquisition: a sketch from Andy Price, illustrator of the comic series, of Gadget! I described her as a "cute mad scientist girl" and he ran with it beautifully! And threw in a Young Frankenstein reference to boot!
A weird epiphany I noticed about the Young/Student 6 from MLP
-They were basically shown to be the next generation of heroes.
-All attend the same school and are about teenage age
-They're in close contact with the tree of Harmony, which is sentient and full of power.
They could've been Power Rangers!!!
Today we’re going to discuss a writing topic that some might call overly specialized: writing dialogue for a very specific age group. A good story, however, should strive to make all its components as accurate and tonally appropriate as possible. Even if a character has only a few lines of dialogue, even if a skill or item only appears in one scene, its presence still has an impact on the reader’s willing suspension and mood.
For those who couldn't tell, this chapter is gonna be a bit late. I started writing it on Saturday morning, and while I planned to have it finished by the end of Sunday like my other chapters were... I suddenly didn't feel well. Managed to recover so I could do my day job on Monday, but that meant continuing to write the chapter in the evenings with less time. At the moment, I'm halfway through writing, so at this rate, it could be out on Friday.
EDIT: Updated post title, since I've developed a pattern of uploading new chapters on Wednesdays.
After writing a new chapter each weekend for three months, I'm taking a break this weekend to work on something else. Plus it gives me time to get things to write for the next few chapters I'm working on, the next two be less heavy than the most recent chapter.

The feeling when my daughter's born and I realize she's a genius!! Not even out of the womb for ten minutes and already talking. Best of yet, she's got my sense of humor.
Advice to young, starting writers I've addressed this before, but I feel it's important:
Darkness and maturity can co-exist. But they are NOT the same thing.
Light and immaturity can co-exist, but they are NOT the same thing.
To mistake one for the other say 'my work is childfriendly BECAUSE it's light' or 'my work is adult BECAUSE it's dark' is one of the biggest mistakes you can make.

best thing ever. So I'm sitting here eating peanutbutter (yes straight peanutbutter) and I went back to my old account. This account was from a year ago and its called skypony3. Such a dumb name I know. But, I went back and read my blog posts from back then and man, they were terrible.
