My co-writer TheSillyDuck and I are currently at Whinny City 2017. This is our first convention ever and so far I'm already blown away!

Overall, I had a great time. It was nice to go to panels again, shop in the vendor hall and just being around my fellow MLP fans again. While I have gone to online cons over the past 2 years and enjoyed the panels and virtual vendor halls there, I greatly prefer IRL cons and I am glad to see them come back and for me to attend one once again. On a very short notice whim, I will be at Whinny City Pony Con this weekend. Most likely for Friday and Saturday, though maybe on Sunday as well.

It's my first time attending, so I'm not sure what I'll be doing, but I hope to have a great time and, like always, buy way too much in the vendor hall.

After another grab and go breakfast I headed down to Mane events to see the screening of “Make Your Mark.” The special was okay. The audience was less vocal than the one for “Best Gift Ever” back at PVCF18. I’m cautiously optimistic about G5 and the special at least had me intrigued about what’s going to happen in the series coming up in the fall.

Baby Wubs has proven not to be the greatest little passenger on car trips, so while we did what we could to keep him calm during the drive out to Whinny City last night, we accepted that a certain amount of crying would be unavoidable.
