A Lament of My Time in France · 5:50pm May 7th, 2016

Hello everypony

I wanted to share to you a bit of inspirational writing that came to mind today as I was walking down the river Loire in the open sunshine.

The selfless sun shone on; jet streams piercing the blue all around it.
In the distance, a puffy white bridge connected the shades of cyan and aqua.
You stand there, looking down on the partners taking place on the riverbed.
They dance in the sunlight, some exchanging partners and some not.

A Stone To The Pond. (Poetry/ Philosophy) · 4:48am Jun 1st, 2018

Life is but a stone thrown into a pond,
it can fly high and soar far with force behind it,
but no matter how high that little rock fly's,
it does not create ripples until the end of its flight,
though yes some stones skip and glide across the calm water line,
eventually even the smoothest stone sinks,
given enough time.

Apparently my poet side wasn't as dead as I thought ... · 12:05am Nov 28th, 2015

This poem was composed as a potential piece of an ongoing one shot project by Rain Fire of RF and AG which should see release very soon.

You walk a noble path, lit by heavenly stars forever afire
The world you know, it’s scale you realize ever higher
Yet your legs, they ne’er tire
Imbued they be by the Moon, guardian of eternal fire
In moonlight dwells the greatest key

Vast and vibrant and yawning,

A poem from a friend · 9:32pm Sep 4th, 2019

what's up guys, Crimson Rose here.

Many months ago, a friend of mine wrote a poem that is featured in my oncoming novel.

For those who are worshippers of the night and all who love poems,

This is for ya'll :3 he isn't into mlp but he is a fellow friend and love him dearly.

the sun sets with a lonely sigh
whispered breezes of darkness flow
Luna does rise to kiss the sky
pouring upon the world her glow

cycle without end, the sun mourns
taking solace in his lone pride

"What A Wonderful World" (originally by Louis Armstrong) · 9:27pm Jan 3rd, 2016

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, "What a wonderful world"
I see skies of blue, clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, "What a wonderful world"

The clouds of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Also on the faces of people passin' by
I see friends shakin' hands
Sayin', "How do you do?"
They are really sayin', "I love you"

I hear babies cry and I watch them grow

Look out at the things you made. All things shining. (Poetry for Horizon and Adm. Biscuit) · 3:36am Jul 13th, 2016

News first. I am trying to write. My life has been tumultuous and unhappy. It has made writing not a very appetizing thing and I frankly haven't written a word in like, a week? Almost. But I'm trying tonight. I have a story idea with Luna that is 1/4 done that I think will restart my writing in general. Frankly, writing has gotten harder and harder for me since "Nothing is Constant".

A poem-not-poem I wrote · 1:47am Jun 7th, 2015

Set off the firecrackers, watch them swirl
Changing colours, winding with no direction
Bright stars hover above, staring down intently

Hollow love, masking a deceitful lie
The light sparkle of damp grass
Spinning, spinning, spinning

Fireworks, setting into overdrive
Deafening, intoxicating blurred lines
Players rejoice in a game of hurtful fiction

Wailing sounds behind the fence
Raised heartbeats scatter jumbled thoughts

Am I Not Enough? · 5:37am Feb 1st, 2017

Hello, it's been awhile. I wanted to actually post this as a story, but I don't think it's long enough. Also don't know if poetry is allowed to be posted as a "story". Anyway, it's just something I came up with so I hope you all like it. This was more of Discord x Celestia thing, even though I don't really support them as a current ship, I think it's very possible that they were a thing in the past. So enjoy.

Clyde and the Visit from Santa Hooves · 6:39am Dec 26th, 2015

Happy Day-After-Hearth's Warming! In the spirit of the season, I'd like to share with you a holiday poem I recently wrote, which was inspired by Clyde's Tales, an awesome open-collab anthology compiled by Salivanth, which you should definitely check out if you haven't already.

And now, without further ado, I present "Clyde and the Visit from Santa Hooves."

Literary modernism explained · 7:16pm Apr 28th, 2014

I'm trying to catch up on 150 years of literature and literary theory. Now I'm listening to the Teaching Company audio course, Literary Modernism by Jeffrey Perl. It uses a division by Frank Kermode of modernists into paleomodernists (TS Eliot, James Joyce, Marcel Proust, Ezra Pound, DH Lawrence, the late Yeats) and neomodernists (Gertrude Stein, William Carlos Williams, Marianne Moore, Wallace Stevens, Virginia Woolf).

when i write a poem
the world ends
with the energy of a
malfunctioning garbage disposal

the same water jesus rides to work
designates our planet a ridiculous paradox
a superfluous apostrophe

in an interstellar venue
we are the water-planet
worshipping a sun god

a day's length:
an inappropriate tool for
polishing bone

it was dark and
perpetual when i wrote this
the neighbourhood was exploding

A Heart of Blackened Glass

A Poem By: BronyProphet

Mend the shattered pieces of the blackened heart of glass,
By the twists and turns of fate that time has cast to the ashes,
Wrongs brought to the stars and let it be carried away with winter's chilling breeze,
Chilling to the bone as heartache reaps its tainted path,
Marked by black roses set out for mourning and outcry,

May the stars above, below, and around you be your guide

May they shine through the blackest nights, shine on the cloudiest days, and shine through the whitest days

May the sky keep you. May the clouds watch over you

May the rains caress and keep you well

May day bring you joy and night keep you safe

May the earth and ground beneath you guide your path

May the fruits and gifts of the land nourish you and yours

Proceed with head held high and a clan that loves.

An Anarchist's Poem · 3:12am Oct 2nd, 2020

I'll forever be a punk,
I won't bow down to your ways,
I won't play the rules to your game,
If we all agreed, insanity would be the norm,
There is only one way,
One true light,
The path to freedom is to fight corrupted powers,
If we don't stand up and fight those who oppose us,
All will be lost to a world of idiocy and greed.
You may think we chose this life,
For how you disagree with our lifestyle and prospect of freedom of speech,

A Poem: "My Own Living Hell" · 4:07am Apr 26th, 2022

I woke up this morning

Maybe that’s a start

But waking up to a nightmare

Every day just breaks my heart

I fight for my right

To stay in the light

But in the darkness dwells

My own living hell

When I look in the mirror,

A stranger stares back

When will the outside

And the inside all match?

I scream to the gods,

“Why me? Why now?”
