Last week I was in France. As a travel addict and hard core Francophile, I had to go back sooner or later to get my fix. Fortunately my boss let me go to an underground science meeting in Avignon. And I took a few extra days off to visit some other towns.
Exactly a week from now, 4.30 in the morning, i will step on to a buss that will take me on a 30h trip to France. All the way from sweden, through denmark and germany, me and 14 other people will travel to a monastry in France where we will be for 7 days.
I have been preparing for ix months, and now I'm trying not to panic as i'm starting to pack and fill up with neccesary food and get my parents to give m the neccesary money and...
*BIG GASP*
My dear friends,
Today, something horrible happened. Something that goes beyond words, something that causes the breath to catch, blood to run cold, and hearts to stand still. Today, the city of Paris, the Capital of France, was attacked by terrorists of the most foul kind.
They have killed many, and I fear before this darkest of nights is over, they will have killed more.
Guys I know we don't talk about politics on the internet (that was a joke) but please keep France and her people in your prayers tonight. What happened today was a tragedy and the people who did this deserve to rot in the deepest depths of hell for what they've done.
Can't believe I haven't told you guys until now, but I'm heading to Paris with my family on the 17th to celebrate my 21st birthday! So, there may be a slow-down in activity between May 17th and 22nd, on account of me being busy sightseeing and stuff, just so you know.
Hello everypony
I wanted to share to you a bit of inspirational writing that came to mind today as I was walking down the river Loire in the open sunshine.
The selfless sun shone on; jet streams piercing the blue all around it.
In the distance, a puffy white bridge connected the shades of cyan and aqua.
You stand there, looking down on the partners taking place on the riverbed.
They dance in the sunlight, some exchanging partners and some not.
Just to show solidarity with French friends and cartoonists everywhere on this sad day.
Mes chagrins, mes plaisirs
Je n'ai plus besoin d'eux
Balayées les amours
Avec leurs trémolos
Balayés pour toujours
Je repars à zéro
Non, rien de rien
Non, je ne regrette rien
I have news regarding my newest story with S1 Princess Luna.
I don't know if I'll be able to continue it during this week, as we'll be doing a trip to France, starting today!
Most likely, I'll be offline until next Friday. But don't worry, the story will continue.
So, without further ado, see you all on Friday!
Napoleon would kick Lightning Dawn's rear end (With help from The Three Musketeers, Joan of Arc and Ladybug)
You recognise the tune, but the lyrics are unfamiliar.
It's so very French.
Say hi the the priest.
I’ve been offline for a while – apologies for not posting anything – I took some time out to do a cycle tour in Northern France with twoSteamPonies, pedalling 500km across Normandy.
Rainbow Dash decided to come along after she heard that the region is famous for its cider. Unfortunately most of the time she was too far ahead of us to keep the rain clouds away from our path.
Well, after hearing about the news and all that stuff a few days ago, I felt that I had to make something. So I got on my drawing program and made myself a new one. I think it turned out alright. Tell me what you guys think!
Here's the link to the picture on my deviantart account.
I know that nobody's likely awake to read this right now, but I just heard... Paris was recently attacked by a set of simultaneous terrorist attacks. So many are dead now. I can't even fathom why people have the mind to do these things to other people. All the attackers are reported dead thanks to the efforts of Parisian police and other emergency security forces.
