My dear friends,
Today, something horrible happened. Something that goes beyond words, something that causes the breath to catch, blood to run cold, and hearts to stand still. Today, the city of Paris, the Capital of France, was attacked by terrorists of the most foul kind.
They have killed many, and I fear before this darkest of nights is over, they will have killed more.
Now, I live far from this violence, far from the city which has come under siege this night, as I live in the United States. Yet, I find myself shocked, and beyond all else saddened by the loss of life as if it were in my own backyard. And while I do not know any who live in France, tonight I would stand beside even a stranger and comfort them, for even one death is far too many when civilians are concerned.
And civilians are all who have been targeted.
I know that not many people follow me, but those of you who do, please send good thoughts and prayers to those who are under fire. I offer my own, for even silent well wishes go a long way.

Wow. . . I just turned in a class assignment which was an article report on a current event. . .
Well anyway, I do hope that they can stand strong against the terrorists. The fact that terrorists like to do that kind of stuff just cause they want to bothers me a lot. I also live in the US, but I hope this wouldn't happen again anywhere in the world.
Some good news in all this is Parisians were recorded singing their national anthem proudly even as they were evacuated from a stadium. So while many lives were lost, the terrorists failed to break the French spirit. And that is something to celebrate.

It is indeed.
