New Chapter, and Kofi

Going to get the Kofi out of the way first, since it's going to be a boring explanation and I know you all want to see the exciting stuff, but I really need to talk about it because I don't feel like I can just slap a "Please buy me a kofi!" on my author's notes without one. I'm not begging for money. But my household could use a little bit of extra cashflow to help with things.

Okay, so the Kofi isn't technically new, I used it ages ago to help collect donations for my dog's medication. She has Addison's disease which is a condition that causes her body to not be able to naturally regulate or produce adrenaline, so it requires expensive life-long meds. I am re-advertising I have it because my brother recently moved out, so we lost his income to the household, and after Covid we're all still sort of living paycheck to paycheck from the people in the household who work. I do not work, really, unless you count writing stories, which is literally my only marketable skill. Now we're not in serious danger of losing our house or anything, but the house isn't in the best shape, and we've had to sacrifice getting food or other things for a while, I've also not really left the house for any reason outside of like going to an appointment or other sort of required things so I am going absolutely stir crazy. Three years of seeing the same spaces non-stop day-in-day out does things to you, and for me it's gotten the anxiety up and the creativity down.

And I don't want to have that, cuz like I want to write for you all at a steady pace and not feel like every word is going to be judged by all of you.

Now, this isn't a requirement, I don't need you all to toss a little bit of money at me, but it'd be nice. For now, the Kofi is set to one-time-payment stuff at $3 USD. If I am able to keep up a steady pace of writing and publishing stuff, I might switch it to monthly? But for now it's strictly just tips in a tip jar sort of thing. Feel free to drop a few bucks to me, or don't, but overall I just want you all to enjoy my writing!

And speaking of which! NEW CHAPTER

So, this chapter was a bit messy, but it was meant to be. War is not a clean cut thing, and Twilight's PoV is messy and chaotic as a result. She isn't used to the stress of war, of having every second possibly being her last. And she's started seeing death on a scale that ponies in Equestria haven't seen since the unification wars, and the various wars later against Sombra and the Griffon Kingdom. Even the Changeling Invasion was smaller and less deadly than what is happening right now on Harvest. And Twilight is suffering for it.

This chapter is the first of two parts, too, so stay tuned for hopefully the second chapter's release in a few weeks depending on how fast I write it and if my health continues to improve and I am able to keep writing (stomach bugs and allergies are hell, let me tell you) but things are looking like they're trending that way so we'll see.

Anyway, other than that, I hope you all enjoyed this current chapter, sorry about putting the Kofi thinggy first, but I won't talk *too* much about it from here on out in blogs unless it's me changing it over to monthly or perhaps showing you where some of the money has gone if I don't use it for household things (Gotta get back into airsoft for instance, god I miss actually getting fun exercise) and overall just try to keep to the story updates or lore talks :D
