I enjoyed it, and I'm picky. I'm made to ponder whether throwaway culture as you have it is an effect or a cause of lack of consensus. Could be both I guess.

It's exactly that cynical attitude that I was trying to pick apart.

I've really thought about it as more of an blending of an economic mindset into the social atmosphere of today, given how fast-paced the world is today. The kinds of things that are said, even jokingly, like "You don't need that kind of negativity in your life." Each person whom each of us meets is in no way as trivial as some of the stuff that people dismiss each other for.

As for your pickiness in poetry, I appreciate your approval. I realize most of my poetry consists of rhymed couplets with similar syllable counts but no sense of meter and a strict adherence to English grammar (for poetry standards). I'm apprehensive to share my poetry because I'm afraid it sounds stiff and mechanical to actual poets.
